[Report] Sources of Offline Clients

Hey Warriors, here is my report for different sources of offline clients. Which do you have had the most success with?

My experience:

Google Places: 3/10
The clients here either already have a Web Development Company working on their design and seo or are bombarded with hundreds of mail from Internet Marketers everyday. So their rate of conversion from a business entity to your client is very low.

Yelp: 6/10
Now Yelp is a crowd-sourced business model. So offline business listed here are the perfect bait for us Offline Marketers. The approach to the business owners from Yelp is quite different from the traditional cold-calling or direct mailing methods. You need to take a creative route to make them your clients.

Google Adwords users: 7/10
This is one of the niche area where IMer's are not flocking but its soon going to change. Search for the Geographic specific product/service and then go to the websites of the advertisers. Contact them telling that you can help them in getting Organic free ranking instead of paid advertisement. Converts well most of the times.

YellowPages: 8/10
Now this is a Goldmine of offline clients just sitting there and waiting for you to approach them. The list of Offline businesses is so huge that you need to have an army of outsourced marketers to even tap a fraction of the businesses. There are special methods which helps in minimizing the time and increasing the conversions (This will be dealt later )

Thus this is my experience in finding new offline clients. Share us your experience in finding new offline clients. Don't worry, There is too much fish in the sea

      Yes they are but the list I was concentrating was on getting Offline clients which are not in your area. Even though I live in India, I've managed to get US Offline clients by using my above said sources. Its all about showing professionalism.

      Yeah,

      If you're working in your locale ... local papers, magazines, advertorials(those little coffee readers @ barber shops and restaurants), listening to the local radio stations, filtering through the direct mail you receive ...

      All the above will let you know who's investing in their business and give you angles of approach.

      If you're working outside your area it's gotta be more challenging ...

          If you're looking for paying clients (educated prospects) enter your targeted keywords into google search box (main keyword + GEO mod) and start collecting the data from the paid advertisement.

          You can do the same with Yellow Pages (Paid advertisement listings) by sorting niches and areas.

          But your first cycle of friends/family (network) is the best source...

      Hi Vishal

      We use a hybrid of checking to see if they have an existing Google Maps listing that we can ramp up into a optimized Google Places entry.

      Then we check to see if they have a YP listing and if so how big the ad is.

      The bigger it is the better chance at a sale as these people "already" know how to spend money.

      Then we get our Telemarketer onto them to set face-to-face appointemnts.

      Converting a prospect into a paying customer is an art. You need to entice them to provide you with the project.

      First you need to first establish yourself as a trustworthy and an experienced player in the market. The methods range from making a website showcasing your clients, testimonials and your products/services to providing freebies to the clients like a free SEO report of their website.

      Second you need to compare their current website with their competitors. Unlike Online Marketing, Offline business have a direct contact with their competitors. So if you show them how their competitors are ahead of them in the Online Marketing field then they will concentrate more on Online success.

      Thus there are many other methods which you have to perform to successfully convert an inquiring client into a $199/month paying subscriber. For most Internet Marketers these methods are as easy as taking candy from a baby. So if you know a little bit about backlinks, youtube, twitter and Facebook marketing then you are all set to rake in huge monthly dollars using Offline clients.

    1) The daily junk mail in my mailbox.
    2) Notice Boards at supermarkets.
    3) Classifieds in newspapers & magazines
    4) Websites of website designers. (look at the sample gallery).
