Your Honest Opinion: Would taking an offline Client take away from setting up my own online empire?

Hi guys so I was just inspired to start building my own internet real estate using niche sites. Now I already have made approximately 10,000 on line but writing for people. Writing for people is very work intensive and its not really a residual business. So now I'm starting from scratch buying domains and working towards making money in my sleep...

But someone wants me to get them on the first page of google....set them on facebook...market their business online. I realize the money I would get from this project would be good, but I'm concerned it would be like taking on a second job and would severely take away from the time I could be putting into setting up my own internet empire.....I mean I already have a 9 to 5. So what do you guys think?

Yes, it will definitely take away from it. However since you have only made money writing so far, if I were you I would take the work in addition to building your own stuff. You never know where it might lead, or how quickly you will get your own stuff off the ground, etc...

Yes, I've learned from experience OFFLINE clients can be very demanding yet beneficial. You will spend most of your time finishing their assignments . . . But offline clients normally pay for themselves in gold. Typically a few clients like this and you could have accidentally started another business . . .

    Good Luck

      You need to start somewhere...

I think you should start with this client, and YES- it will squeeze your time a bit, but due the nature of the business you are running (writing) you need to "meet" some trail and error" routes to make the job done for him and for furture clients...

I had the same question when i first started two years ago, and that's what i did!

      Good luck!

Keep in mind, you can't serve two masters. At some point in time, you're going to have to decide which way you want to go, and stick with it.

You must be blessed child. Your empire is banging on your door.

You are the dream IM'er. Really, I mean that.

Look at it from the other side of the mirror.

    1. You can write.

    2. You understand passive income from IM, and likely know a few webmastering skills.

    3. You can get people on the 1st page of Google

All the essential skills and aptitudes and drive and dreams... and my goodness, you are asking for advice too?!!!

    Holy shmolly!

Put all three together as a content driven website owner, and do the SEO for the client who wants 1st page to prove or improve your chops.

Let that client, and possibly others along the way, fund your empire building. Goodness, you can do it all.

You are blessed with the gift of writing, fortunate to be able to do what others want to know how to do, and, you have people banging on your door!!!

Just figure out how to combine them neatly by organizing you thoughts, set up a plan, and then go for it. Have faith in yourself and your talent. I do, and i don't even know you.

Look at the mindmap on this post by a very generous fellow warrior. It's down at the bottom of Peter Max's post. It's a pdf file. Very cool and simple.

depends on how you look at it.....I can build 1 niche site in less than 30 minutes .....

and did I mention I'm a full time teacher and have built up a very sizable sum of money in many niches online.....

You can do both......outsource most of it.....

I actually want to build up a large residual from offline customers.....

Focus on one specific goal achievement. For instance, your online business. Build it to a $50 a day. At that point you could outsource most time intensive tasks for $100 to $150 per week. All you need to do in manage and direct. Then move on to your next goal.

Yes I was offered a similar thing last Friday and the woman even wants me to work for a minimum of 12 months get two sites up using SEO. I was flattered but then I drove home and thought - that would be like going back and working for a boss.

As you say the money is good but when you are working for someone else it is a totally different ball game. She wants to put me on contract in mid January but my answer to her will be .....no.

Think about it write down the pros and cons before you make your final decision. For me the decision was easy because I just want to focus on my own business at this time.

yeah....I actually have never gotten any one to page one of Google before. including myself. But this person believes in because I do know something about IM. however...with the learning curve...I'm sure it will take more time than I would like to invest.

You have to start, begin, get going.

      You can do it.

anybody can. just put something up there. Like a WP theme.

use Jeff Johnson's plug in, it's free. it's excellent.
