Getting comments on my offline business blog (probably from here seeking back links?)



I normally just delete them as most look like one of those automatic spam link things. But some are from people commenting or my articles getting placed on others blogs.

If I delete them on my site will it effect anything?

    Do you have Askimet installed? This will cut down on a large percentage of spammers posting comments on your blog.

    It's funny how I won't have comments coming in; then one day I'll have like 50 comments come in... Hmm...

    Yeah, I don't approve any comments on my site almost ever!

        So if you are going to just delete any comments, not just the obvious spam, why don't you just turn comments off and save yourself the trouble?
