Are you offering recurring fees on Google Places?

I'm looking to get more into Google Places and I know some people are doing recurring optimization packages with it. Are you doing anything with recurring fees and what are you offering for how much?

It really depends on the target demographic....

That is not a one size fits all question....

What I have found is that it also depends on the amount of Keywords... Population.... and the other listings you are competing with.

I have clients that pay $200 per month and others that pay $500.

Yellow book representatives sell it for like $2000

So it is all in what you think you can do in good conscience

I do have recurring fees on both organic and places rankings.

I probably should but I don't. For the small mom-and-pops I do it seems to work better to just use pay as you go.

Once I get them on the map they typically stay there so in my mind it wouldn't be quite right to have them continue to pay me.

If they do drop off the map then I get them back on and bill them for my time.

If I was going to do recurring I think I would only charge for maybe one or two hours a month at $75 an hour.

If all you do is "get them there" then it is a lot of wasted effort on both parties. You need to keep them there. That is why a monthly charge is critical. There are plenty of ways to jimmy rig it up there for a while. Also, the front page is where the action is, if you are just "listing" someone, it is exactly what yellowpages and the like do. We charge all our clients monthly to get them on the front page of places and keep them there. Also, IF they aren't there in the timeframe we told them we don't continue bill them till they are.
