Well, it looks like for $2,000 they do all of the work for you. All you need to do is give them access to your site and tell them your keywords/niche.

If doing nothing and hoping to make it rich on a 2k investment is you're game plan, I guess it's OK.

Don't you get all of someone's keywords when you visit the site?

The actual quality of the service delivered could hugely effect the actual value of the results. A first rate, domestic service provide related lasting links, magazine quality articles, etc might be worth it for a serious business with no in house capabilities.

There certainly seem to be at least, some padded process in the itemized lists.
One with a basic understanding of the process could probably piece out the process to various freelancers, though you'll sleep better if you only allow a known entity to tinker with the works of your site. Free directory submissions services are dirt cheap, I don't exactly recall, but some might do 200 submissions for $10. I just tested Socialadr, which gets others to post on their accounts, social bookmarks you write, for about 3 cents each. Directories and bookmarks are some of the least valuable link sources though. You can also directly acquire backlink through webmaster sites and articles through freelance marketplaces like elance, though the quoted rates are the going price for quality articles.

it comes to $305 per month. If they are a reputable company that is reasonable. It is not clear what they will do each month for the 6 months. The onsite sounds a little high unless they are adding a lot of content and doing phenomenal keyword research.

I don't see anything there on how many keywords they are planning to get you placement for, ir if they are optimizing local.

If you are out getting new clients during the time you would otherwise be running DIY SEO, then the question is how much would you make getting the new clients instead of writing 40 articles and the rest of it. If there is a leaning curve for the onsite then it will take more of your time.

In principal if it takes you 3 days a month (it could be more, or less) to do the work you are paying $305 for, and during that time you can make $500 then its better to hire someone to do the work. That can apply to everything from doing laundry to setting appointments.

I think the on-page optimization is where the biggest "scam" is coming from. Now its not really a scam, but the on-page stuff can be easily fixed with a few pointers.

If you really want all of that stuff done in regards to the on-page. I bet you could find a warrior to do it for you for under $200. Just my 2 cents.

I personally do not believe in this. If the page was done correctly in the first place, you would already know the keyword phrase you are targeting. Any time you change too much on a page you've already began marketing you can cause problems pertaining to your ranking campaign(s). "If it's not broke, don't fix it.

    b. Incorporating SEO copy-written article pages on regular basis (per our requirement analysis) that will provide deeper and fresh Content for the indexing
What is a regular basis? If you are attempting to get ranking locally or geo-restricted, you shouldn't need THAT many articles in a month's time.

    c. Image & Hyperlink optimization - are you going to ebe changing images and links too. If not, this is the same thing as the next one (d).

    d. Incorporating further anchor optimization for the new landing pages of the website ~finally one I understand!
    e. URL structure analysis ~ I assume these pages are new blog pages. Again, how many will you create per month? 4 maybe?
    f. Creation of Custom 404 error page ~ a one time deal here too
    g. Implementing Google Sitemap ~ Ditto (self updating if done correctly)
    h. Implementing Yahoo Sitemap~ Ditto
    i. Implementing robots.txt. -ditto
    j. Google Analytics implementation - and again

So, unless this is a one-time fee, which it doesn't look like it is since they say "further... new pages...", I think the price is higher than it should be. Someone earlier said about half and I agree.

    2. SEO Off- Page optimization $1490-
    a. 30 Non zero links page PR1, 2, 3 One-way Links for $ 360 (@$12 per Link)*
    b. 40 Optimized Articles writing and publishing for $ 320 (@ $8 per article)
    c. 30 Optimized Blogs writing and submission for $ 240 (@ $8 per blog)
    d. 100 Social Bookmarks submission for $ 100.
    e. 80 Directory Submissions for $ 80.
    f. 30 Press Release writing and publishing for $ 240(@ $8 per press release)
    g. Online Profile Promotion & Marketing for $150.

I'm not going to itemize this one because, again, the questions have already been asked by other Warriors above:
    • Local, geo specific, national or world domination?
    • Who decided on the keywords in the first place? I don't see any mention of keyword research/competition analysis. If they don't show you proof of the keyword choices... run.
    • Can you spread out your (quality) keyword phrases over the different services in #2? For instance, say you have 10 kywd phrases you want ranked for. Will they write 4 artcles per phrase or are these simply articles created from one (spun)?
DO NOT let them choose the keywords without valid evidence that they are ones with enough monthly searches to make the price worth paying. Every good marketing campaign starts with solid keyword research and competative analysis. Have them show you the results (good and bad keywords so you can compare).

OK... now I just might have made an a** out of myself. I just saw the part about spreading it out over 6 months. While in the beginning I thought this was too much work to do in a month's time, I think it's too little for 6 months. For a 6-month program the price is OK or, maybe a little low actually. But, as I said, I think the services as they are proposed are sort of strange and I'd tend to stay away from this.

And, as it's already been pointed out, if you can't do it there are plenty of VERY qualifies people here that are looking for work. Give it to them
. (I'm not one of them so this isn't a self-promotion. Simply a requested response.)

If you want to learn, I'll bet there are consultants on this board that would love to teach you. If you have time, it'd probably end up costing less and you'd be doing your own stuff pretty soon.

I hope some of this was useful. I'm not an Guru like some are here and I don't make $3,255.942.15 per month but I've supported a wife and two kids for MANY years doing my online thing. I just hate for people to spend money unwisely. It happens too often.

Good luck with what/whom you choose.

I think you could have all this work done for you for 25% or less of the price you were quoted if you get some warriors here to implement it instead. All of the work listed is fairly basic, and definitely would not be beyond the abilities of the people who provide SEO services here.
