Offline Consultant WEbsite?

Hello guys, I havent seen this thread on here yet. If there is one, tell me.

I was wondering if you guys have a website for your Offline Consulting business? Do you have a website that you send people to?

All of us are advertising web design as part of our Offline services, so wouldnt it be important or professional to have one? I was thinking maybe of just doing a Facebook Fanpage Design.

I had purchased a WSO from here and it came with a 'tested' website design that was part of the Offline Consulting business model he was selling. It was the most basic thing I have ever seen, no pics, html, or anything. JUST TEXT.

WHat are your thoughts or sites?

Throwing up a wordpress landing page for your business is even easier then messing with a fan page in my opinion. And much more professional then someone doing business from a fanpage alone, pretty amateur. I wouldn't hire a guy and trust them with my business reputation off a fan page would you?

    • Vincenzo , the only reason why I would even suggest using a fanpage for a temporary site, is because I offer fanpage designs as an option to their business package from me.

I have a designer that could make me a website, but I was just asking around about what everyone thought on the subject. I know the importance of having one, BUT I also do NOT want to build a large website that has WAY TOO much information on it and that will just confuse the local business owner.

I was thinking of keeping it simple (very professional) but simple to read and navigate.

Just seeing if that was everyones thought as well.

AND YES I AM ALSO TIRED OF ALL THESE WSO'S POPPING UP EVERY 10 MIN. MOST OF THEM DO NO DELIVER!

If you want people to perceive you as a professional, you have to have a really solid site. A real site. If you do fan pages, great, link to it as a sample. But have a nice site yourself.

Make an impressive single page site. That's all you need. Maybe throw a Jquery slider in to rotate between products/services.

One page is all most anyone needs to sell from.

If it claimed to have a complete site and didnt, I'd complain or get a refund, there are far too many WSO's being sold that don't deliver.
I'm not going to post my sites up here, but if you send me a PM I'll send you links.

There have been 3 or more threads on this in the past few weeks... dig around a little and you'll get some good info. As for the WSO you bought, I agree with the other guy, get a refund.

Buy hosting, install Wordpress, go to Themeforest and find a template you like, fill it with content and you're good to go.

There are pro's and cons to every website a Warrior is selling:

Things you must ask yourself are as follows:

    1) Is professional looking?
    2) Does it have an optin so you can capture your clients?
    3) Does the package offer auto responder content or report to give your client?
    4) What about PLR?

*** Weigh the above versus the cost and make your decisions. I will say nothing is worse when the business owner checks you out and you don't even have a website.....your a professional and should create an image that gives off a good first impression***

    Hope this helps you,

You gotta walk the talk. I get quite a few clients from craigslist. I tell them what I can do for them and I have a website to send them to so that they can have a look at what I do.

Just my thoughts and recent story to show you there is value in having your own site (especially if other people in your niche know about them)

I've got a site for coaching/ training and another one specially for marketing consultancy and only a a few weeks ago a fellow offline net-worker had a meeting with a potential client. After listening to what she wanted and telling the potential client the cost involved the reality was that the fee was way over the budget of the potential client.

During their meeting on the laptop the fellow offline networker went to my marketing site and said, 'V may be able to help you - is this the sort of thing you want?' The client said yes.

The client contacted me by phone...we confirmed everything via email and the deal was done with money in the bank shortly after. It really was the site that did it and involved me just talking her through the process. No selling really.

      Two things here

      1) I make sure my off-line networking piers know about my site so they can refer clients if they can't do the business with them or don't offer the services I do. Be aware when you network with people off-line from various niches who aren't all in your field they too can refer you via your site.

      2) My marketing site is simple set Wordpress - nothing fancy but it shows I can do this sort of thing if that's what's required. With so many themes and core set-ups available Wordpress is very easy to do.

And another thing is, I show my face for a reason on my site - not only to break a barrier but for referral purposes. It's important people are able to see who they are going to call on spec or via a referral I think. Plus someone emailed me yesterday looking to chat about me working for them and said they liked my sense of humour on my networking site.

Make it personal-able but professional is good way to go.

I see a lot of people here not having sites and that's cool if they want to play it that way but for me it's important if I'm selling websites as a core service to build on for consultancy in other areas such as FB marketing etc.

      Just my thoughts.

Holy Schamoly! People are SKEPTICAL these days! Highly Skeptical! They get bombarded by people saying..."You need THIS! or..."I...can do THIS...for YOU!...just "trust me" and give me X$!

        Yah! Right!

However...what if you were to have your product ALREADY to go....so there was NO wondering or conjecture about "What" you can do....or "IF" you can do it?

What if your "product" was ALREADY MADE?....and all you were looking for is...."BUYERS"?

        Ex of what I'm referring to;
        1) Grab a "Niche" Domain (ToledosBestCarpetCleaner.com)
        2) Load up 2 or 3 pages of a Sample site for a Carpet Cleaner.
        3) Send an email to 10 or 12 Carpet Cleaners in "Toledo" telling that that YOU...have created a Website for THEM. It's ready NOW! All it needs is ONE Carpet Cleaner to "Claim" it....and it's theirs. Take a look..."

        4) Gather the Interested businesses.....then send them your RENTAL Fee;
Set Up Fee (where you PERSONALISE the site with THEIR INFO & LOGOS) and a Monthly Rental (for getting the site UP on Google for the Keywords needed)

Holy Schamoly folks! You can do this for ANY Business Category!

        I know....I've done it and it's easy-peasey!
