My client is a Tuition Center, but I run out of idea.

2 days ago, I received an email from one guy. He asked me to help him build him a mailing list of prospects.

This is my first offline project, where I got no experience at all.

Here is what he required :
1. Write a free report to give away to subscriber as a free gift
2. Write 3 follow up emails

The objective of this campaign is to attract as much prospects as it can.
Then, convert them as a customers.

The problem I face are :
1. He have only a tuition center where, not much people around that.
I'm thinking of using Adwords to target the place around his tuition center,
unfortunately, adword at my country don't have that feature.

2. I don't have any idea what to write for the free report.

Please help me.

PS : I myself have experience building mailing list of prospects for my own business, but for others, well, it's quite challenging

What problems or frustrations are his market trying to solve?

What are the frequest questions he gets asked by prospective clients in regards to what he provides?

What common mistakes does his market make when looking for similar solutions?

    etc.

Make a report that provides education-based information regardign the above and it'll make for a useful lead generation report that will probably get some decent word of mouth.

You'd probably be better off doign Facebook PPC rather than Adwords, but that's just a guess...you'd have to test for yourself.

Then of course there's the ability to do video marketing etc.

Do you even need to complicate things with an auto responder over a simple / some body will give you call to discuss your needs / wants in a few days or so / where the guide it self pre sets the appt.

I also see many many people say, then convert them to customers ? are you also the sales rep for that company and is it your job to close the sale ?

if you having trouble writing a responder i would say your going to have trouble closing any deals, clearly define your role is it lead gen only ? if so you are not responsible for closing that sale. your role is to attain as many pre qualified leads / not close them. or is the close a buy now button or something ? more so like an affiliate / and not a in person close.

Your report could be as easy as Frequently Asked Questions ...

but the real issue is why would a potential client give up their email address.
Are you offering a "one time" discount for subscribing, special tuition
arrangements .. your headline has to be a really strong benefit I would
      think.

Find a business in the area that has like clients and offer to
refer them business if you do the same.

      Keep us posted

Great. All the input here is great.
I just called the tuition center a few hours ago.
I asked him, what the trader for their contact or email, and even suggested him to offer some freebies for the lead.

He agreed and he said, he can give away a one week free trial to his learning package.
And more that that, he can even arranged a free seminar to the prospect.

    This is a good news.

About converting to sale, I'm not affiliated to the tuition center, but I feel responsible to get a customer for him. He pay me to get work done and I'm trying my best to get as targeted lead as possible.

The more money he get, the more good words about me will be spreading up everywhere.

    That's what I'm thinking.

    Anyway, good input everyone.
    I'll update everything here.

This evening, I'm going to finish the free report, and write a "first email", wish me a good news.
