Didn't realize how AFRAID most IM'ers were to go out there and make it HAPPEN!

For the last year and a half I would wake up, hop online and build websites using wordpress and attempted to do PPC for a gang of CPA offers.

I failed miserably! Google would never approve my campaigns and Yahoo didn't bring me enough traffic! I would have thousands of impressions yet hardly anyone will fill out my offers or buy my Clickbank product!

I pretty much gave up on anything regarding internet marketing and began to question if I will ever become a success in LIFE! I had this idea that if I do enough article writing/spinning and all these other tactics, that the flood gates of prosperity would open up and I would be there to receive the RICHES!

Thankfully I found Mr. John Durham's forum (The telemarketing forum) and it pointed out to me that if I REALLY REALLY wanted to succeed in life, that I would have to do more than post stuff online and wait for the riches.

If I wanted it...truly wanted it, that I would have to get out there, hunt down my food and drag it back home ie...reach out to potential clients to let them know I'm open for business! I start my venture of COLD CALLING on 1/3/2011 (Yes, I said those dreaded 2 words)! This is the truth, if you feel that contacting businesses about your services is something you're not willing to do than you might want to question how far you're WILLING to go achieve SUCCESS! Eventually for a lot of people, the pain of failing and "Getting happy about 2 affiliate sales you got 2 weeks ago:confused, will override your reluctance to get out there and become someone who makes things HAPPEN!

I can't wait to let EVERYONE know about the services I offer! I will no longer passively wait for SUCCESS.

I'll see you guys at the TOP...Hope u decide to MAKE IT HAPPEN for yourselves.

    Good luck with it!

    Setup a meeting with them and actually go meet them. The difference between an email , talking on the phone, and talking in person is tremendous.

    Thanks guys, I will most def be posting my journey on the forums. Can't wait, I've got til Monday to get my pitch coming out smooth enough, have a few rebuttals in my arsenal and then its allllll systems GO!

      Just sit for 2 1/2 hours, make 200 dials, and say hi to everyone that answers the phone. It will happen naturally. Trust me. All you have to do is be genuine and sincere about why you are calling and what you are offering. Dont pressure anyone, just be excited to meet them. They will love you, you will get sales or appointments no doubt.

        Thanks for posting this. Contrary to most women, it seems, I already don't like phones very much. :rolleyes: So it stands to reason that the thought of cold calling terrifies me, even though I KNOW how much opportunity is there!

        Seeing all the discussion on here about how other IM'ers are actually getting out there and doing this is really helping me overcome this personal roadblock and move forward. It has never been as bad in real life as I made it out to be in my mind, so that definitely helps me keep going.

          You're welcome Phoenix and thanks Cliff! I can't wait to get the show on the road! Pheonix, it's amazing how much of this is simply in our heads! It's just a freakin mind game!

          If you think about how much money and success you can have and how your life can change...not only YOUR life but your children's childrens' lives! By taking action we could all grow our respective ventures into a full time flourishing business and leave a legacy...and the ONLY thing stopping us is having the discipline to do something a little "uncomfortable"...its just silly to let something so small (talking to strangers) be the determining factor as to what you make out of this! I say "F" that!!! Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

          1/3/2011...I start and I don't stop... I'm going 8a-5p and taking a 30 min break and a few restroom breaks! Hell I did that while working at a call center for YEARS...why wouldn't I do that for my OWN business?!?!?

          I'll post my results every evening... this CAN be done.

    Good luck with your cold calling venture Mr ATX...be sure to keep us posted... I only just discovered Mr Durham yesterday & something tells me that he really is the man... his latest post about selling HTML websites is one of the best I've ever read on this forum
