Local Citations Software?

When you say "citation" are you basically speaking about reviews in directory sites?

If not, what type of citations are you speaking on. I believe I stumbled upon a piece of software that could help us offline marketing folks, though I'm not certain what type of platform you're wanting to use it on.

By "citation", he means a business listing in a reputable, high PR Directory that shows the business name, address, phone #, email, web address, etc.

GP uses the number of these citations to help determine a listing's position.

This is not a software but this is what I usually do to find out where a top placed business has gotten citations :
1) Get their address
2) Get their phone number

3) Search google by pasting address to the search box
4) Search google by pasting phone number to the search box.

You will be surprised by what you get.

Google will show all places where the business is cited in the results.
If this could be automated a little more it would be nice.

There's a website that has a tool that will email you over all the places that businesses have citations for for a certain keyword

I'm looking for something that at least uses a staple of the top directories, or something where you can add directories as you find them and then check off the ones you want to submit to, how often etc... that will do it automatically.

Also, I believe a member here is currently beta testing a "local listing bot" that will do what you are looking for.....lemme dig a minute....edit: see you found it.

Yeah, I've seen UBL before as well as another service that another warrior offers ... I think it's Local Citations - Boost The Rankings Of Your Local Keywords.

Are you talking about the local business listing bot? I'm waiting for a response back to see if this is something that can be added, but as of right now, it does not possess this feature. It adds reviews to CURRENT citations.

This is more of an all inclusive piece of software and expensive. But from what I've seen of the trial, it's huge when it comes to features! I'm not sure if they are still offering a trial but it would be worth a look.

For what it's worth, I will gladly build Business Citations for you or your client. I currently use a list of 60 high PR Directories for my citations.

All of them are done by hand, optimized for your GP listing.

With the new Google Places algo in place, a well optimized GP listing and a ton of citations is what offline businesses need to make the 1st page (a great website and 2 tons of back links are also helpful imho).

Google is a must have for SEO, it is also a local citation finder like google map , mews & press and etc. really interesting while all you have to do is type down the name of the city or any contact number or the address of the business... It will help you to see the cited result!
