How do you make clickable youtube videos like this?

I was under the impression that clickable links can't be added inside a youtube video. If a wacky video can be made like this, can't links be added in the video to go straight to a client's website? (The video plays for a few seconds, then becomes a soundboard. Click on the quotes, and a few seconds later, the line plays.) Silly, but still, anyone know how it's done, and if simple links really can be installed?

Ok, couldn't post a friggin link due to being "new" here. Please search "FIRST EVER YOUTUBE ANNOTATION SOUNDBOARD -HOTEL PRANK PT2"

Thanks!

This is easy...but the thing is you can only link to another video and not to the client's website, that's why all video marketers watermark the domain on the video and add the link in the description.

You can't link to a website outside of YouTube without setting up a promoted video account within YouTube. This will give you an ad overlay on the video that comes up within the first 8-12 seconds.

The free alternative is to put the full URL of your domain in the description and that will be a clickable link to an external website.

It also helps to use an annotation to draw attention to the link in the description.

It would be great to be able to link to the website straight from the video...but as other posts above state...you can't do that.....only to other videos on the site.

I always use the description box on youtube to enter the website address.

Quick tip is to make the website address the FIRST thing you write in the description box as even if the user has most of the description hidden you can still see the website address that way.

And of course to have the website name in the video itself and a strong call to action slide / image to make sure they enter the website address in their tool bar or indeed click the link that you have entered in the description box.

    Have fun with it.
