Pointing URL to Clickbank product hoplinks.

Happy new year everyone,

I wonder if I could ask a general question regarding selling Clickbank products. I fully understand Niche selection but wondered how most people make a decent amount of revenue on Clickbank sales. Say for instance I choose a CB product that fits my niche.

I then buy a url thats fits the niche/product what are the potential drawbacks to pointing that url at the CB hoplink and would search engines (like Google) allow that to happen without issue.

for instance: The process would look something like:

1) Niche Product identification
2) Select CB product for the niche
3) Purchase a URL that is consistent with the niche/product
4) Somehow point that URL to either the CB product website or the payment processor for the product.

Just wondered what the general concensus of of opinion was regarding this.

Thanks,
John.

    Hi John,

If you're going to send a prospect directly to the merchant product, save your
money and just use the affiliate link that is provided.

Better way to do it, get a domain name that would be a match for your keyword.
Then send the prospect to an opt-in form where you can capture their information
and sent them content to sort of warm them up to your offer.

Once on your list, you have multiply chances of making the sale. Send two emails
with info about how to solve a problem in your niche. On the third one tell them about your product (how to solve their problem) and include your affiliate link.

Also, include your affiliate link in your email signature.

This system works better than sending a prospect directly to a sales page because if they don't buy on the first visit, you have no way of contacting them again.

A lot of markets say that a prospect has to have your offer presented to them
five to seven times before they buy. Once they buy, you will still have them on
your list with opportunities to make sales of related products that you can
    promote.

Yes, some affiliate do really well

It really depends what kind of approach you want to use for getting visitors.
If you want to get traffic using PPC, than you can send your visitors directly to your affiliate page unless you are using Google Adwords since Google does not allow that. In that case you will have to build some kind of landing page with affiliate link on it.
You can also build SEO optimized review web site with your affiliate link and then start building backlinks so people can find you through organic search.
You can find JV partner if you don't have list, but this would be difficult for beginners

    Hey John,

Yeah, I believe google isn't allowing people to send there prospects straight to a sales page anymore. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's how it goes now a days. Damn google!lol Best thing for you to do is to build yourself a little landing page where you can get people's info ie: sign up box.
