Create a blog, buy a new domain?

my clients don't have a blog.i know it's easier if we can create on their domain.because i don't have much control on their cpanel was wondering is it a good idea to register a domain just to use for blogging?

is this recommended?have you done similar thing to your clients?

    Why don't you just add a blog page to the existing website?
    Otherwise, yes, get a new domain and host the blog on the new domain.
    .info are pretty cheap.

    Well, talk to the client and explain the situation. Communication is key. I don't think it's worth buying another domain for a blog associated with an existing website.

      I would agree with not buying another site, putting a blog on the existing site will up its profile and traffic if people are allowed to comment on the blog.

      I see no reason to go to another site just to read a blog from the same company?
