How much are you charging for Social Media?

I ran across this article and was quite surprised at what average prices are for doing social media marketing.

How much does Social Media cost companies in 2011? | MackCollier.com

Are you guys on here charging these prices? I don't have an offline marketing business but it seemed like this is quite a bit. I hope you guys are getting these numbers.

I mean. That's great people are asking for those prices. Though, I can't imagine small business owners paying that much. Maybe if it's a large company, etc. Though, this is making me consider increasing my prices to be certain.

Point is: people pay what they can and what they seem affordable to bring the results they want.

IF a new blog makes them 6K/month, they can pay 1K, right?

Think "adjustments". A small shop can pay $100 per month to get 1K per month. Not the opposite.

Then you need to decide IF it's good for your business to work with those small businesses...

    !?

I only set up Facebook fan pages, and Twitter pages.
I charge $199 for Facebook, and $299 for both.
I don't offer anything more, but looking at those rates, I might start looking into it.

    Thanks for the post.

Looking at these prices, helping people out with their social media campaigns has suddenly become very attractive.

Some people out there are making a lot of money managing other peoples campaigns for what could be classed as easy work.

      Certainly sets one thinking.

While it's great to look at the numbers, how accurate they are? Who were giving the services (small bizz or "official" ones), who were the target clients (big corporations or mom/pop stores)?

Anyway, it's good to know. Prices are all over the place in service based businesses. It's exciting and bugging at the same time (at least to me!)
