[VIDEO] the EXACT method that I used to pick up my first $1500/month client..

Hey Warrior,

John Durham and Brenden and so many others are sharing such great content in this section of the Warrior forum that I got inspired and I also want to contribute and add massive value.

Therefore I decided to share the EXACT method that I used to pick up my first clients when I started out as a newbie to offline marketing, this is one of the modules from my Google Places Unleashed course and I hope you'll find it valuable.

If you are a newbie and you follow these steps, if you have access to Craigslist, you'll pick up your first client. I can't think of an easier way, no cold calling or anything like that involved.

Enjoy and make this the most successful year ever!

      Hi Mario

Good information. Don't know how well it will work for me as I am in Australia and even though we have Craigslist it is a ghost town.

With phone verification required for US cities I don't know if I can use your methods.

Rob, why not use TollFreeForwarding.com - Toll Free & Local Phone Numbers or another service? or "borrow" someones US phone # (have a buddy email you the verification code). Check the terms of service first, but this is what I would consider....

Hey Mario, first I want to thank you for those videos. After watching the first video, I did what you said and found someone in my area looking for marketing assistance. I sent him an email saying who I am and what specific services I provide.

I have several ads in the services section, but never even thought to look at the two sections you mentioned. Hopefully, that one action will land me a client (I'm keeping my fingers crossed,LOL).

Anyway, I really appreciate your generous gift to us.

      Hey Rob,

Go ahead and look for a website/local newspaper that is similar to Craigslist where business post ads, looking for contractors or services.

      You are welcome

Now go ahead and implement everything that you've learned, without hesitation. Great job getting started!

Hm the point of offline marketing is that you help business in your area with their internet marketing. It's up to you what you want to offer - SEO, Reputation Management, Video Marketing, Social Media, Marketing in general ...you can work as a contractor or if you don't feel comfortable running your own business and you need a job, you can work for them as employee. (nah don't do it though, running a business can get you rich

No no please don't do it, do not start analyzing it, do not research now - just go ahead, take the info and implement it!

This method takes 15minutes to implement, you could have already responded to the first add while you're waiting for a response to your question

Speed of implementation is key, plus focus and action.

      Cheers,
      Mario

So I just got off the phone with a prospect who I contacted via craigslist because of Mario's videos. Now I have done this is the past but never with any luck because they are either cheapskates or they are too demanding for what they are paying for. This time around I did get a call back from some one I emailed. This prospect is not a $1,500 a month client but for a simple email and 20 minute conversation it will surely pay off.

After watching this I thought I would clue you into a GREAT app that takes this process to another level.

I got this from a post by my Business partner on my blog:

I was looking for a better way to search Craigslist listings on my iPhone, and I found this app called Craigs Pro+. This $1.99 app pays for itself in no time, so I decided to write a review. Here's why:

"A better search experience than Craigslist.com."

You can define keywords, multiple regions, and multiple categories for any given search. Beyond that, filters can be set that define price range and compensation type. This means that your searches are broader in scope with more accurate results and faster to perform. Parameters can be saved for later use.

"Search agents are always on the lookout."

The killer feature is called "Search Agents," which notifies you of new postings for specified search terms. Craigs Pro+ will crawl the Craigslist results for you and give you a summary report if any new search results appear. This amazing for staying on top of the search game and takes some of the luck out of finding good deals.
Basically, Craigs Pro+ will crawl the Craigslist for any keyword in any or for all criagslist locations in the country. You could quite literally look up things on a national level.

Anyway.... Fantastic post man. Just bookmarked.

Update: Oh, I forgot to mention it also alerts you when new stuff is posted so you dont ever have to check craigslist every day.

          Hey JR,

Yes method 2 works as well but don't expect a flood of calls. Here in Miami for example, the competition is fierce - I still get some calls though from potential clients checking prices and so forth so please implement it - I seriously just takes 15 minutes of your time, can't get any easier and you have all the steps in the video

          Cheers,

I always enjoy watching your videos Mario. My only criticism of Craigslist is that it always seems to attract people looking for cheap, cheap, cheap. Like the businesses saying they want the person to work in-house. To me that seems like a business that wants to pay you a low hourly rate and doesn't value what you do. I'd much rather market directly to the people who I know will value my services and who make a lot of money if I can get them just a few more clients a month.

Agreed, Craigslist attracts a lot of people that are looking for cheap solutions and it's definitely not perfect - but it's a fantastic way for newbies to get started fast and I personally have picked up some great clients from Craigslist, even though it can take a while till you find a good one.

Thanks Mario for the great post. This is also how I got my very first offline client! One extra tip I want to mention: You had suggested to look under the Jobs Category headings, Internet Engineers or Web Info/Design. These are great, but I also find my clients under the "Gigs" Category which you will find a little further down the page. These are people usually looking for Independent Contractors like us, rather than "in-house" employment offers and seem to be more open to spending the kind of money we charge.

      Great info Mario!

I have used Craigslist for years in my real estate biz and every time I wanted to upload a photo, I used Craigslist 4 little green x:s to do so. You have now showed me a way how to upload photos WITHIN the text. That information alone is sure worth the time watching your videos.

Here's a thought; maybe you could provide a service to other Craigslist advertisers in how to spruce up their ads. Just don't know how to get around the "no soliciting" posted on most ads. Any ideas anyone?

      Thanks again Mario, priceless :p
