Offline Marketing Keyword Tools

I have tried using the google keyword tool but because most of the time the offline markets do not get as many searches per month as searches from around the globe google will just say not enough data and then I'm stuck without knowing which keywords are actually getting traffic.

So, what keyword tool do you guys use for offline marketing to actually figure out how much traffic you could receive if it's on a smaller scale?

SEO is really pointless for most small business niches. Instead of wasting time with keywords and SEO, I prefer press releases, targeted twitter and facebook followers, local promotions, local events, groupon offers and refer a friend kind of coupon programs. Referral programs work well with small businesses, in small towns.

Press releases and getting them on google news ranking also helps a great deal.

True that.. much better to go with more PR and offline marketing strategies to get the website out there instead of working on SEO. I find it much easier working with my client this way as well.

I find google insights (free tool) is good for a spot check but Market Samurai (paid tool) is my tool of choice for deep and meaningful analysis.

Keep in mind that sometimes the tools will show no results or insufficient data when there really is traffic to be had.

Sometimes very low searches are very relevant searches that convert into business.

        Regards,
