    SEO is a Better than SMO. SEO means Search Engine Optimization. SEO is used for Promoting your Website on Search Engine like a Google, Yahoo, Etc. and give the High Page Rank on Search Engine like a Google, Yahoo.

      SEO- Search Engine optimization.
      SMO- Social media optimization.
      SMO is a part of SEO. Blogging, commenting on blog, social bookmarking etc are part of SMO. Because doing this we can get high page rank, means increase the importance of our website and will give better rank in search engine.

        SEO and SMO both are different SEO is done to impress search engine where as SMO is done to impress human being. SMO consist of set of methods for generating traffic on any website through social networking websites on the other hand SEO is all about analyzing a website that helps search engine to read, understand and index it correctly.

    SEO and SMO are entirely different from one another and you can't compare which is best. It really depends on where are you going to use these two mode of optimisation. SEO gives you heaps of traffic using the right keywords while SMO is for social media activity.
