Has Anyone Had Success With UBL for Directories?

Hey Offliners,

I kept hearing all about Universal Business Listing UBL dot org but I have yet to see any results in the past when I've used them. And, there's no
proof they provide you with of doing the work.

Anyone used them. Any view on this service?

    I have not used them, but you can do search on one or two their listed sites to see if they listed your business. These sites should have a link back to your site which should help.

      UBL give a list of directories, you should be able to see your business listed there.

          With zero results, do you mean that your business was not listed on any directories, or that there was no SEO benefit

            I mean I saw No backlinks from their listed directories. And again, there is no PROOF they are indeed sending anything out (Not saying they are not).
            Just want feedback from anyone else using this service.

              When did you check for backlinks? And did you check the actual directories?

              My understanding is that UBL is NOT immediate and can take 30+ days to start showing up.

    I've received little value from UBL. The thing I really did not like was not having complete control over the citation sites. CS was very limited too imho.

      I saw no baclinks, no listings in the directories...

      Yeah they saw 30 days but it's really closer to 60-90 when you call and ask about their process.

      BTW, they do not LIST anything in any directory. They make it AVAILABLE for the directories to pick-up. Big difference imho.

      I want a citation? I list it myself.

        I have used UBL for myself and for my clients and we were listed in most of the directories in 60-90 days.
