Hi there, is there a good in depth report report anyone can advise on how to go about verifying GP for clients, and also citations, explaining about them, Regards, Mick.

    Hi Mick,

    Not sure if I understand your question.

    Are you editing Google Places on behalf of a client?

    If the cllient doesn't already have an account with Google, you may have to create a new account for them in order to edit their Google places listing.

    When you finish the profile, you will be given 3 options to verify the listing - one will be a telephone call to the businesses listed telephone number - in this instance I ring my client and tell them that in the next few minutes they will get an automated call from Google with a number. I ask them to write it down and ring me so that I can input it on their verification page - this is the quickest and easiest way.

    The other two verification options are by SMS message and by post.

    Citations are simply online reviews or testimonials from customers. You can manage this process either by encouraging their customers to post testimonials online to various sites or you can scan written testimonials and post the testimonial on social media sites with a copy of the scan.
