Ok, I am creating my facebook fanpagea and I am going to have an optin box on it. I have text above it and this is what it says.

Sign up for a FREE 1 hour Internet Consulting Appointment
and learn how to get more customers for your business starting
tomorrow.

I think it might sound too internet marketing.

what do you guys think?

I think it all depends upon the results it generates.

It doesn't so much matter what people think, as it does what it produces.
If that line gives you consistent quality leads, then does it matter?
If it doesn't give you consistent quality leads, then consider something different.

  • I could test it, yes. Maybe I will just run with it and see what happens. It says FREE and that is mostly what attracts these businesses. They have nothing to lose, maybe learn something...

Anytime people see FREE on the internet, it starts to trigger the 'internet market' area of the brain

However, I agree with vndnbrgj, you won't know for sure until you see what sort of results it generates. If the reception is luke-warm, then try wording it a little different.

I personally would play around with the wording of "Sign-Up here". In my experience, when people see "Sign-Up" they tend to hesitate a bit. Maybe phrase it like "Find Out For FREE How To Get More Customers For Your Business Starting Tomorrow!"

    Hope that helps
