Question about monthly paying clients?

I have been picking up some monthly clients lately. What methods beside paypal do you use to collect your monthly payments. Thanks

Invoices paid by check is the method most businesses are comfortable with. Why mess with a classic?

We've designed a credit card authorization form that allows us to charge the monthly fee for a designated number of months. Other than a subscription on Paypal that bills them automatically, we've found this to be the most effective.

We're tired of chasing checks that don't come in as agreed, which means not on time, perhaps not for the full amount, etc.

We ask every month when we send out billing that our customers go on this form, so we're not wasting time chasing money!

The form sounds good, can you further explain. For example how do you process the credit card payment when they use the form?

I've got a merchant account and run the credit cards through there. That's the best - especially if you have to deal with chargebacks. Paypal typically sides with the person requesting the chargeback.

Well there may be many options available except Paypal but i will be recommending you using Paypal as this is the securest way of online transaction available. This is the main reason why it is most commonly used as well......

I have a merchant account and Authorize.net is my payment gateway.

I use WHMCS for my invoicing and billing. They get an invoice two weeks before the due date (you can set this to whatever you want) and then if their account is set to be paid by credit card, it is automatically billed on the due date. It also integrates with Paypal subscriptions.

    Painfree billing.

If you have a reseller account with Hostgator, a free license for WHMCS is included.

you can also use google checkout to create a web signup link for ongoing payments. that works pretty well but requires some basic coding in order to implement.

FRESHBOOKS.com is the coolest thing ever. It sends automated invoices to your clients, allows them to pay by card or check. It even has a customizable login page for your clients to check past payments and upcoming invoices. Doesn't get any more fresh than freshbooks.
