What would YOU offer to local home improvement companies?

Hello all,

I'm obviously a noob here (this is my first post), but I've decided that 2011 is the year that I develop a marketing business on the side of my day-to-day businesses. My wife and I have a successful cleaning business and a mobile auto detailing business as well. However, we've made the decision to keep them small so that we can mix other things into our lives that we enjoy. For me, one thing that I've always enjoyed is marketing. I'm sure that I have a lot to learn, but I've never been short of business in my own ventures, and I hope to be able to help others keep their pipeline full, so to speak.

Over a decade ago, I was a telemarketer myself and ran a marketing department later for the same home improvement company. I've done various marketing for my own businesses, from radio spots to fliers, from craigslist ads to adwords campaigns, and the like. I've always been effective within my own business at getting referrals from my clients, and basically just talk to everyone that I meet about what I do, whether I meet them offline or online in forums or something.

Now I have some companies that are interested in me doing some marketing for them. These are small companies that have relied on word-of-mouth and haven't really had any true marketing strategies otherwise, and they're coming to me for help in keeping a better flow of business headed their way.

I'm going to start by offering the following:

*Website to give them an online presence
*Adwords campaigns (if effective for this type of work)
*Flier delivery in neighborhoods where work has already been done
*Targeted postcard mailings to new homeowners
*Referral marketing by contacting previous customers
*Craigslist advertising
*I also want to help them get listed on sites like AngiesList

Essentially I will be their marketing department. All potential leads will flow through me to these contractors.

So, any advice for a noob? What would YOU offer that you don't see on my list? Is there anything on my list that you'd like to elaborate on?

I look forward to any feedback, and plan on working hard to get this going. I've always had a passion for marketing and getting sales. In my own business, I could get more and more and more business, and frankly I love the action of doing so. However, we have no desire to do what it takes on the employee side and in dealing with the hassles of such to grow our business in such a way. That's just not our personalities. BUT, if I can do marketing and get the same rush while getting business for others, that would be a dream come true for me. Therein is my passion, something that I can truly get excited about, and I'm poised to hit the ground running. Hopefully with advice from others, I can run a little faster and to an even better destination.

Thanks!
Mike

Hmmmm.......I'll try a shameless bump here, since I'm sliding down the page quickly and haven't had many views. Perhaps I've got things pretty well covered, or maybe not many have experience with marketing a local service business such as this. Or, maybe I just wrote too much.
