Google Places newbie question

If there is no GP listed for a certain search term, is there anything you can do to create a new GP listing, or this that impossible to do if GP listings already exist?
Thanks,
Rob

You only want one listing for the business. Do all the on page factors for gp. citations, reviews, geo tagged images and video, etc. Don't make multiple listings.

It is possible to open a new box with the correct keywords.

That's correct some businesses don't show up in the Google Maps like SEO shops. One day I guess Google will add these in when they see enough search volume to warrant it. In the mean time optimize your listing and it'll get A1 positioning when the time comes.
