Why not use the embed code Youtube provides instead? In my opinion using the embed code is a better option.

Embedding an iframe map does not work well on most mobile devices. Using a static map for mobile is a a better solution, also linking or embedding a Google map on a page will prompt most smart devices to open the native map application and leave the site.

Well the problem with just using the embed code is you are using the full video file which can be huge for a mobile. Also by using this mobile code it triggers your youtube plugin which will play nicely in your phone.

I agree about the map but some people wanted to know.

Easy Video player works the best in my opinion. Since Iphones and Ipads don't have flash you are limiting your reach with videos. Easy Video player works with both since it can be Html 5.

Is this really that big of an issue anymore?

It actually isn't an issue at all. The Youtube embed code includes HTML5 support and fallback to quicktime on non-HTML5 compatible devices, which is why I think it's a better solution.

From that POV, it is not an issue. But, with the method Quentin suggests, the Youtube function of the cell opens up, and the video looks much nicer, as it takes the full screen, while with the embed, it doesn't if the numbers don't fit (I use 100% for width but the height number becomes the limiting factor).

I kinda don't know which option to pick! Both are good.

            Quentin -

I'm not only new to mobile site design & offline marketing, but I am decidedly un-technical .. so I have to ask some questions.

            1) Is this really & truly as easy as "Copy & Paste" ... and will you help me out if, nonetheless, I need it?

            2) Does your course also discuss offline marketing (to local, small businesses), and if not, do you sell (or can you recommend) a course on that?

            3) Where do you buy your .mobi TLDs? Can you recommend some place other than GoDaddy?

            Thanks,
            Richard

Actually, using the embed code will also open the YouTube app (if the device has it) and play it in full screen.

    Hey Richard

The answer is yes to all and I do not buy .mobi sites rather I use the m.yourdomain.com subdomain as suggested by Matt Cutts from google.

Of course if you want to develop your skills a bit more then we also cover this with you.

Mobile sites are pretty small so no real drain on any server.

Great Video. I tried to click on the link to the website, but it is a broken link.
Would be interested to know which emulator he is using, that actually detects
    redirects to mobile websites.
