What would you do to achieve the fastest and most impressive results to really blow away new clients?

    How much leeway do I have, what's my budget and what kind of client is it?

    For a restaurant: I'd print up 2,000 coupons offering a free ice cream sunday, with the purchase of a meal, tonight only. Then I'd pay someone $100.00 to go around a put them in the mail boxes of neighborhoods with families within five miles. Hopefully fill up the restaurant and have them ready to offer rain checks if the run out of room/ice cream.

    Then I'd have a nice offer for another coupon next week if they sign up for your SMS or e-mail club. It would be in with the bill and I'd have the server be sure to mention it so the kids will be demanding mommy do it so they get more free ice cream. Now you've had a packed night and a couple of dozen new names on your mailing list.

    Most retail, I'd probably do some take on that.

    Service industries and expert industries I'd do something quick, cute, and local newsworthy tied to a fast press release campaign.

    I'd integrate twitter on their website so that each tweet would show up as a large callout/headline on their homepage. Then I'd show them how they can update twitter via their phone at anytime and instantly update their website (with stuff like... "Closed today due to snow storm" or "print out our homepage and bring it in for a FREE appetizer this weekend only!"

    Once people see that, they go insane. Easy money.

    I would optimize their existing marketing systems to show them where they have been leaving money off the table in the forms of profit leaks...

    ...and then I'd present that with a logical, systematic, and proven method for improving those profit leaks with a cost efficient ROI. =)
