Can anyone recommend a WSO...

OFFLINE MARKETING

that shows the nuts and bolts of performing offline SEO, and servicing offline clients?

I understand the concept of backlinks, keywords, etc... but I am a total noob with regards to Google Places, Yelp and what it takes to get local businesses to rank well in their area.

There are a mind-numbingly large amount of choices! Please help me get started in the right direction.

I *could* recommend a WSO, but that would seem very self-serving.

How 'bout instead I just talk about your areas of interest.

First, I'm sure Yelp has it's place. Not spent a lot of time there. (I may have just ignited a discussion about Yelp and how I'm the most horrible person for ever doing Offline Marketing for local businesses for not using Yelp.) LOL!

Secondly, I would recommend just starting with what you know. If you know about backlinking and keywords, try and help businesses there. Google Places is another place you can start.

What I've found out is the best way to help business owners is:
1. Find out what they WANT.
2. Find out what they KNOW about what they WANT.
3. Find common ground between what you KNOW and what they WANT.
4. Offer to give them that for a fee you agree on.
5. If they flounder at the close, tell them either:
5a. you'll do it for half now and the other half when it's completed or
5b. you'll do it for nothing up front and they can pay you when it's completed.

Now... with that said, is that what you were asking?
If not, maybe I can help a little more with more specific questions.
