Attempt 1. - Plan of attack
Hi all, this is my first post in the Offline section. Offline marketing is of great interest to me and I have learnt an awful lot from this forum. 2 weeks ago I secured my largest client, £1,000 for the website and £150 a month for 6 months minimum to do the SEO work - I felt on top of the world 
From reading posts on here it has become apparent that finding some local exact search domains is very beneficial when ranking. I am here today to ask your expert opinions on the quality of these domains I have found:
[CITYNAME]-plumbers.com - 720 searchs a month
[CITYNAME]-builder.co.uk - 590 searchs a month
[CITYNAME]-builder.com
[CITYNAME]-dentists.com - 1,000 searches a month
cheaphotels-[CITYNAME].com - 9,900 searches a month
cheaphotels-[CITYNAME].co.uk
[CITYNAME]-airporthotels.com - 2,000 searches a month
[CITYNAME]-airporthotels.co.uk
guesthouse-[CITYNAME].com - 2,400 searches a month
guesthouse-[CITYNAME].co.uk
City Population - 326,000 people
The plan I have for these sites:
Step 1.
Build a simple wordpress site, and instal the SEO plugin.
Do all the onpage SEO, and then begin the offpage.
Step 2.
I would jump over to fiverr and get some quality unique keyword articles written up and then post them on the site. I would then get them spun and post them to major article directories.
Step 3.
Start getting backlinks from local directories. - This is where I struggle - Any ideas of how else I would build quality links to help them rank?
Im hoping the exact domain names will do alot of work, and the keyword articles will push the sites that extra bit higher.
AfterPlan:
After I rank the sites, I intend on reaching out to the local businesses who have either a weak or no online presence and offering it to them along with a full on marketing solution including opt-in list building and social networking.
Throughout the process I think I will increase my knowledge greatly, and at the end will be able to use these sites as case studies for seminars I intend on running.
