Services for Auto-Dealerships? Need help please

Hi guys,

Got a big auto-dealer to call me and I want to help them with my video services.

They seem to be SEO'd, and have a good reputation online already. They have a new and used car division, and its the used division that called me.

What have YOU done for used car dealerships? Please give me some tips.

I was going to use Animoto to help promote their current stock, which they're using slideshow videos for currently, so I know I can definitely improve that.

Any other ideas? Landing Page help? Promote on Youtube...?

I thought I would give you a little tip for using Animoto for business. Every business you sell that video too they will have to have there own Pro License registered in there name.

Something I have done in the past and It worked for me. Results could vary for you. Is to use Craigslist, Backpage and Ebay Classifieds using a graphic image drive traffic to a video of that vehicle and offer an incentive for buying the car or even coming down to look at it.

You would have to get with the dealership and find out what that person is worth to them. Some examples- Buy this car this week and get oil changes for life, or get a free $50 gas card when you buy this car today. If the car lot salesman are really good you could offer a cheaper gas card for just looking. Hope this helps...

You're saying if I create a video for a business using Animoto the customer has to buy Animoto? Makes no sense......?

Last time I checked with them about a year or so ago, I basically found this to be the case. The free version of Animoto is fine to use for personal use, but if you are using their video creation system to create videos for offline businesses that are then in turn using these videos to promote THEIR services, you will need to get the business their own license. It is considered commercial use essentially.

When Animoto first came out awhile ago, I was blown away by the simplicity and offline potential. The problem was, so were a lot of other people and Animoto I'm sure realized they were sitting on a gold mine of offline businesses AND offline marketers that will need their services and different licenses, etc. Starting out awhile back, I wanted to scale rapidly and I just didn't see that happening with their licensing model at the time.

They have SEVERAL different license options/payment plans last time I checked.

edit: They have definitely LOWERED their prices from the past, I'm almost certain. Looks like you can get the Animoto PRO license for $249/yr and $39/mo.

Yes this was taken directly from animoto....

Our Terms of Service allow you to sell to clients so long as they aren't other businesses. For instance, a photographer can re-sell a wedding video to a couple who recently got married, but that same photographer can't re-sell a video to a business who hired the photographer for promotional photography work.

Reason being is that each business using Animoto commercially must have their own business license. However, you can purchase licenses on behalf of your business clients, and re-sell videos to them once they have a pro-account.

QR Codes for auto dealerships can work pretty well.
