Hi my name is Martin,

Next week I have a meeting with a notary (office) for offline marketing services.

I have a couple of ideas, Google Places, email marketing, Cost per Call...

But if you submit one who as retained by my prospect, I will give you 100$

So let's go... submit your best idea now!

Thanks

Ideas about what? Do you mean business ideas?
You can build a Groupon for local communties. I believe it would take a share from Groupon's business. Or you can build an e-commerce site cooperating with Groupon. It can get promoted quickly.

    To be sure....
you are meeting with a NOTARY - a lawyer or person with legal training who is licensed by the state to perform acts in legal affairs, in particular witnessing signatures on documents.

I want to be sure before I toss out an idea for an incorrect thing.

Is this Notary stationary or mobile? Who are they targeting - business accounts or individuals? I'm leaning toward B2B but hey, it's who they want right?

Either way, I'd start with the obvious and easiest offerings first.

Offer 1 - an optimized places page on Google, Yahoo and Bing plus the recurring monthly maintenance to boost/maintain ranking.

Offer 2 - email marketing: lead collection and AR series plus newsletters

Offer 3 - depends on who their target is; what their website does or doesn't need (if no web site, then pitch one) and are they mobile.

In all cases, you need to sell them the benefits (more customers and profit for them) and do NOT speak or sell them techie stuff. Lay it out in terms they understand.

        Regards,

        John

ps - Here's another thought: Offer - marketing analysis of their current efforts (yup, get paid to do it)

Offer a service to "advertise" on other websites that have customers/clients that would need the service. The advertisement would be a QR code that drops straight to your client's site/citation info/GP page. ++Hint....find clients that you already have and link exchange them basically. Helps with SERPs, exposure, and possibly more business.

That's right, i used to work in a marketing enterprise in Spain, and i noticed my colleages had no idea how to sell the services and products. I mean they care about how many clients they can get, a company doesnt care about how many people are going to find them in internet but how many people who can be interested in their services are going to find them, that's it, that's why is so important to have some communication skill.

by the way, whatever you do, listen the client

1.) Target all local real estate offices, mortgage companies, escrow companies and attorneys etc. All of these services could use a notary for their client.

2.) Local SEO and Google Maps.

I would say don't go in trying to sell anything!
When you sit down ask them what they are currently doing in their business. You want to first gain there trust. Here is a great way to do that.

You can do this in many ways I just list the website idea to give you an example.

If they currently have a website ask them what they like and don't like about it. If you can improve what they don't like about any aspect of there current cost/efforts, it's gold. Fix something they currently have first if available.(Not many people will take the time to do this)

You start to gain trust you can now offer them anything. Next I would say something along the lines of this.

"Mr or Mrs business owner" since I showed you how you could save money fixing something you have already spent money on. I feel it would be a dis-service If I left here today without telling you a way to really improve your business presence and make your phone ring off the wall.(Google Places) I don't offer this to everyone because most businesses cannot handle the volume of calls and end up losing more business. Maybe your business is more tailored for something it can handle like email marketing.

You will almost always get them wanting a google places listing. The beautiful thing about GP is that it's instant if done correctly and if you get them optimized.

You are not coming off as another salesman more like a hero in their eyes and it works like a charm.

You will find doing this will also get you a lot more referrals!

P.S. Donate the $100 to a cancer charity for children

The "Snowdrop Foundation" in Houston. They help alot of kids and families struggling with this disease making the holidays in the hospital a wonderful experience.

"Big Love Cancer Care" they give families groceries when they have to spend time in the hospital.

Thats my two favorite....Even if I don't win you should do it anyway it's a tax write off. These organizations more than deserve it. It will also make you feel better by giving but that is entirely up to you. If you do decide to do it tell them Bryson Horton inspired you to give thats my son.

Me I would be offering what you already said and link to a mobile website.

If you do search on Google keywords you will find there were over 90,000 searches on mobile phones for Notary

    notary 90,500 74,000
    notary supplies 170 170
    notary statement 140 140
    notary public 33,100 27,100
    national notary association 260 260
    mobile notary 1,600 1,600
    notary services 2,400 2,400
    public notary 33,100 27,100

Go to google keywords and in advanced choose mobile devices and search notary.

Your mobile website can also link to google places.

Add this to your current offers and I am sure you will get the job.

A typical Canadian frenchmen type of communication wants answers but gives lousy information. So lets go where?

If your going to behave this way in front of a notary office they will well you know.

Here's the best idea anyone can give. Just do it! If not then you need to find someone who can help you to get your client on GP, GM, YH, BG, Citations, etc.

Because anyone can give you their ideas and there are some good ones listed in this thread but if you really don't know how to put it into action then no sense of meeting with anyone, let alone a lawyer and by action, I mean digging deep to find right keywords, what words to use, photos descriptions and all of that. Because like everyone else who owns a local business and don't know a thing about the internet or how to advertise on the internet, your client will want proof on paper and a time frame.

I'm looking for you to do it the right way and close the deal. Just do it.

Have a great day my friend.
