How do I price pkgs. to offer for Mobile Marketing?

I'm starting a Mobile Marketing Consulting business. I would like to offer: sms campaigns, qr codes, mobile website to start. How would I package these to a client and what pricing would I give them?

Hi gigim! Just setting up to do some of the same things myself.

From what I've been learning, this is pretty much up to you at this point since it's still such a new service with not much competition yet.

You will naturally have to cover your costs first for any monthly fees for these services - sms service provider, possibly a site builder monthly service, hosting (if you're offering this as an option to any they may have and aren't using the site builders hosting) and of course your time.

You could charge a monthly fee with a discount for a year's service in advance; a bundled price for everything at a lesser price than what you would charge for each service individually.

Putting an exact number on this is difficult as there will be any number of differences from area to area, business to business, etc. One thing that might help if possible, is to try to find out from them what they're paying for their current website, and/or their advertising and if they're satisfied with it.

If you can sell them on the benefits of mobile the price shouldn't be all that objectionable.

Pricing I'm going to test is a minimum of $100/mo or per service to $500/mo - again, it's really going to depend on the market. I may also try some "free" service to get started and see what happens - this might also be a good way to get some "testimonials" to show potential customers. Do you have a friend with a business you could experiment on? (just hope you dont' ruin a friendship )

I know too that I'm going to go with only one to three businesses to start with to see how much time, problems, etc. might be involved.

Good luck, hope this helps and that we both have mucho success!!!
PS - QR codes are free to generate so always offer them as a free service

    Gigim17,

I see this question asked a lot an I have also pondered about this and came up with this solution.

You should ask yourself, "How much do I want to make monthly?" Sure we all would like to make a million dollars every month, but is that realistic? Let's take my case for example. I work a full-time job, but I really could use about $2000 more dollars a month to ease the burden of some bills. Teenagers are expensive.

The next question you should ask is: "How much time a month do I have available to spend on these projects or tasks?" Using me as an example again, I would say I have about 20 hours a month to spend on this as a minimum.

So I would take the $2000 and divide it by 20 hours. So now I see my time is worth $100 per hour.

How much time would it take you to setup the mobile site or perform the other tasks for each project. You can find that out when you are setting up your sample sites for potential customers to view.

Once you know how much time you are spending on a task then you could multiply that time by $100 per hour to determine what you need to make off each project. Of course you would also have to make sure you covered all your monthly expenses to realize the profit of $2000 per month.

    I hope this helps.

There is another thread by Vagabond 007 that would be helpful. Its a free pdf Position Yourself To Get Paid 20k Per Client - WF.pdf (267.1 KB, 65 views)

You will look at what you are thinking now differently.

Even though QR codes are free you can also say making a website is free(Weebly, Blogspot, Wordpress).

You are worth a good percentage of the extra business you create for them.

      Good luck GO Big!

I stand corrected, you're right about QR codes - especially since you can always update the info embedded in them without having to change the image itself, I almost forgot about that!
This could work for any business that advertises sales, discounts, specials, etc. that are time sensitive giving you the opportunity to have an ongoing charge for these updates!

Can you tell me how you can change what's behind the code without actually changing the image?

          Thanks

Will require a redirect upon initial creation. The problem with this is that it slows down the speed of the entire process.

Try this: QRJumps.com - Free QR Code generator with advanced redirection.

If you have a budget I can also direct you to some extreme premium options.

Best way is to set your packages on the base of figures. for example SMS marketing will have the range of sms (5000-1000) with one package and (10000-15000) with another package.
