Facebook Marketing

Hi All, I posted something similar to this in the main marketing discussion, but I think it is miscategorized, and is going to be erased. I am having trouble figuring out how to use Facebook to market my offline video production company. If any of you have ideas, I would greatly appreciate it,

    Remember that Facebook is a social network. You cannot advertise your products directly and actively. You want what is called the attraction marketing. You must make yourself look like a leader, you should be able to share valuable information with other countries. So when you write updates or anything post, make sure there is not a sales letter.

      I signed up for Facebook about 4 months ago as I have read that Facebook marketing is a great way to make money from your websites, but I don't see how it works. How do I market on Facebook without spamming my so-called friends?

    If you are using or planning to hit FB with any *attraction marketing* get your pages and / or fanpages in order first, offer your friends something of value that they will in turn offer to some of their friends etc etc

    If you are unsure or how to proceed or cannot work it out, ask an expert... try us!

      Actually, you can advertise directly - or use the fan or group approach - we have some case studies of positive ROI that use both approaches in a Search Engine Journal blog post I wrote. But the forum will not let me post a link since I'm new. We also might do a WSO for FanReach- hadn't thought of that before.

    I've recently started using Facebook to stay in touch with residential realtors. So far, I have been giving them up to date information on developments in the mortgage markets. I don't expect to get business until I do this for a while.

    Create a Facebook fanpage.. offer some product or information to make fans feel special. Keep engage and active on weekly basis and you should be pretty good as starting out. Good luck!

      Facebook is acceptable better business website these days. Marketers are abutting on facebook appearance to access their cast loyalty. Facebook is complete band-aid for accretion your cast loyalty.

    Matt - build your page - engage with your fans - and then see the results.

    Yes you can market off your fb page. In fact with the new introduction of iframes its becoming easier and easier. But primarily fb is for socializing - so my suggestion is to build a community. On your landing page insert an optin form ie. I ask them to sign up for my free wordpress guide.

    I then have them on a list that I can market too. I put loads of videos and good content on my page. My business has come from people then sending me messages asking if I can help with a website creation a fan page creation etc. Or buying my products directly off my website.

    Good luck - and have some fun with facebook. Its a great way to build loyal fans and friends.
