Boom First cient totally nailed it

Hey guys I just secured my first personal client a local restaurant.

and guess what it was a lot easier than I had thought.

I know the owner a little bit which did help but I think the key was that I prepared well and although I was very nervous I just got in there and did it.

So here is the deal I secured:

Custom Facebook page set up: £249 ($399 USD)

Monthly fee for promoting the page and maintaining it: £195 ($310 USD)

So there you go you just need to bite the bullet and take action.

Hopefully this is the start of something BIG

    Nice work!

    Feels good, doesn't it?

I had a meeting with a dentist yesterday that I met through BNI and I got a re-design, Google Places and a mobile site for $1700. It made my day...I mean my week.

Yeah totally made up with it great feeling

My goal is to leave my current job within the next 6 month.

What do you think to the prices I quoted.

Am thinking of charging that as a basic package in future

        Hi,

BNI stands for Business Networking International (or something close to it). They have chapters in many countries.

Google "BNI" and you will be able to find a chapter near you.

The chapters are devoted to promoting the businesses of the members. The membership only contains one business in each industry, so your choices may be a bit limited by that.

It is a very good organization, though.

Nice work carl! Action is the key! Adam nice job..I have just now been inquiring about BNI here in the City...the crazy thing I noticed in most of the chapters in the Bay Area have no SEO type businesses associated in any of the chapters.

I tried to join a local BNI chapter but couldn't because a local advertising agency which was a member said that they do internet marketing for local businesses.

I went and checked them out and they don't even have their own website.

      Oh, well

May take some time but what if you started your own networking group with "Meetup.com"?

I have only attended 2 BNI meetings, but picked up one client yesterday and I spoke to one this morning that wants SEO and a mobile site.

HIGHLY recommend it. I really want to over deliver for both so they have some great testimonials for me at the meetings. I already got some advice from a lawyer and an accountant. Also in the group is a merchant service provider, a business card guy and an IT guy. The IT guy said he gets asked "all the time" if he does websites. It looks to be a very solid connection.

      Well done Carl!!

Here's a thing, after a week or two and when he's told you that you've done an amazing job, ask him a simple question:

"Do you know anyone else who might benefit from this?"

Referrals are a great way to build business.

Also, on the subject of networking groups, there are lots about not just BNI. Personally I don't like BNI - way too structured and stuck in the past, but there are plenty about, and not just breakfast. Also check out your local Business Chamber, just do a search, you're bound to find some.

Congrats, I have 3 bar/restaurant clients. I charge them $1,250.00 per month to manage their Facebook Page, Twitter, Foursquare and Google Places. Have 1,000 to 3,000 Fans on pages and 3,000+ Twitter Followers, Foursquare is a no brainer but you can still build it like another social network and there is enough on this Forum about Google Places....good luck !!!

Great job. We are also in the business now for about 3 years. Our clients range the gamut of a few sports and entertainment celebrities to local businesses: doctors, lawyers, etc. We've just embarked on creating videos of how we will get potential clients ranked on google, in FB, etc. Then we'll mass mail to a client base within a particular segment. In this way direct them back to the video. This is great because it shows in video format what people have a hard time visualizing.

Congratulations. I cant forget that feeling either. Mine was a restaurant too.
Face 2 face sales really makes you strong but needs a lot of nerve gathering, every single time.
