Facebook, no friends or groups for fanpages?

I'm hoping someon can help understand facebook here.
I have a facebook account with many pages geared toward different products. I want to join groups to get the word out and hopefully earn some friends for each page. But that's just it, you can't join groups with your fanpage identity? Also, trying to earn friends for each page but you can't, it seems, have friends for your fanpage? So frustrating.

    Most have facebook marketing all wrong. I know I did in the past.

    People dont want to join products (most of the time) or join a page like your seo business etc. They want to join something fun and will benefit them.

      Thanks for the article, it was very nice. So if someone wants to friend me they can't friend my under my fanpage name? My page is interesting I think for sure, you can check it out here.

    If you have a product on your website put your facebook like images on your website so that people can like you.

    Also ask people to like you when you send emails out to customers, friends etc.
    Everything helps and word gets round.

      Just ask for the like button to be pressed, in your emails or posts. You could also use a fangate for opt ins, they have to like before getting your free gift or promotion.
