in 90 days results but what about reviews

i see alot of people saying 90 days in the golden wait time to see any increase from google places my only question is how do you guys go about a company that has zero reviews and compete with others that have 45 reviews on the google place page, obviously we can fake them but is there any legal approaches to this that will also maximize weight time, because i know getting reviews from customers might be hard for some companies.

Then how about making the process of getting legit reviews easier and/or give legit customers more reason to give a review?

Driving/guiding customer behaviour isn't that difficult, trouble is that most people don't even try - so how about you do things a little differently than "most people"...

Offer an incentive in return for a review.

You should set up a system for your client to earn more reviews. Make it super easy for customers to enter into reviews (maybe offer cards or table tents with QR codes that direct users to Google Places), you can "ethically bribe" with a free offer if necessary although I'd try at first to get reviews without doing that. Have your client remind everyone who walks through the door to review them on Google.

Also, remember that citations and reviews on sites aside from Google are also important for Google Places.

Who says 90 days? I have a client where we had results in 5 days.

Reviews, citations... both important. What one of my clients will do, is offer an additional 5% off if they leave a review.
