Building a list with a mobile and regular squeeze page site?

If you are using a Wordpress page as a squeeze page to collect names and emails, can you also create it as a mobile site and have the names and emails go into the same list?

So you'll have one list to market to whether they come from your mobile site or your regular site.

    Mike,

    Yes.

The WPTouch plugin will present a mobile version of your Wordpress site to visitors from mobile devices meaning your one site will work for both mobile and non-mobile visitors.

I have setup my site to show a signup form in the advertising section of WPTouch at the top of every blog post for mobile visitors.

    Looks like this ...

I agree with Dave That WPTouch is the best for doing this.

Yes you would be able to still capture information via mobile websites, but another item to consider is mobile keywords. Many businesses find it more efficient to simply have a client text their keyword to a shortcode, where the number is then stored in the businesses database.

For example a lot of businesses will now advertise discounts by joining their mobile club: Text TRUMPIA to 69302

By the consumer doing this, the business captures their telephone number and is able to text them future promotions and updates, and the customer will be happy since the business will advertise some sort of discount which prompts them to join on the spot.

Just some food for thought, but nonetheless mobile sites should still be able to capture data just like any squeeze page.

      Dave,

Thanks for the WPTouch info. I tried the free version of it and it works great. I may add that to my own business website. Very easy to use.

      Trumpia,

Thanks for the info. I'll keep the SMS service in the back of my mind and see if my customers are interested in it. It would definitely be more costly for them, though.
