Can SMS Keywords be for separate customers?

I noticed that Trumpia has a plan that's $160/month for 3400 texts and 5 keywords.

Does this mean that I could sign up 5 different restaurants (one for each keyword) and create a separate list for each one of them to send SMS texts to (say for a weekly coupon or something)?

Then use the 3400 texts to send out the messages to all 5 lists?

I plan to manage the lists myself instead of having the restaurant owners do it.

Yes. Though I prefer avidmobile where you pay 6$ per client and can have unlimited key words.

    Mike,

That is correct, Trumpia's Multi 3400 would allow you to assign up to 5 unique keywords to different clients. Have you had a chance to sign up for a Trumpia trial account yet, or if you have already gone on the Multi 3400, let me know and I'll add some extra credits to your account.

Hey Tim, I'm learning this stuff so please excuse the "duh" moment here but the "trial" is not associated with your white label program correct? If so, would it make sense to do the trial and then after getting a # of clients proceed with the reseller program?

No duh moment at all, I get that question from time to time, however you are correct, the trial is associated with our end users at Trumpia.

If you'd like a demo account to view our white label, please contact me at the email address I listed below in my sig.

The keyword limitation issue was one that caused my team a lot of heartburn as we planned out our mobile marketing offering. In the end, we went with Twilio and we give each of our clients their own, dedicated local SMS phone number in their own area code (only costs us $1 each with Twilio) and then we can not only give each client as many keywords as they like (hundreds of them, if they want) but we can ALSO use the same keywords for different clients -- after all, every pizza shop wants to use the keyword "pizza". What better way to accomplish that than to go with a system that allows us to give as many keywords and even duplicate them across all our clients? And unlike going with an SMS provider that uses shortcodes, we can assign the "pizza" keyword to 100 different local pizza shops -- with a shortcode once someone has nabbed the keyword "pizza" they're the only one who can use it with that shortcode.

Steven, how hard is Twilio to use vs something like Trumpia? Trumpia looks like it's just buy and go for someone like me who plans on handling the client's campaigns? I have an appt to speak with someone who's intersted in an SMS company that's not one of the two I listed above (but I'm not thrilled with that one and would like to have a few more options).

I guess it depends on your level of expertise. Twilio offers OpenVBX which makes things pretty simple.

The Twilio OpenVBX service appears to be for voice services, can you manage SMS campaigns as well?
