My 39 Day Offline Marketing Challenge
I've never made a post like this so please bear with me.
I've decided to give myself a 39-Day Offline Marketing Challenge on the Warrior Forum for the following reasons:
1. It will hold me accountable since I'll be posting what I've done every 1-2 days and the results of what I've done.
I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm 1 of those people who don't get very much accomplished each day (extremely lazy), which is pathetic and shameful since I don't work (my boyfriend supports me ).
2. To get feedback, advice, opinions, etc. from other Warriors who see this post.
3. To force myself to stick with and commit to 1 method instead of jumping from method-to-method.
What inspired me to do this was enrolling in Keith Gibbs Hyper-Success Program (http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...sfcmC4OSV7d1EL).
I have a goal of reaching $10K by May 19th 2011 and I'm starting from scratch; so that gives me 39 days.
Even if I only make $5K in this timeframe I'll be happy .
My chosen strategy is going to be to rank sites on the first page of Google for local keywords and sell the sites for $1,000-$1,500 to local businesses and then charge $40-$100 (haven't decided yet) per month for hosting and to maintain the site for them.
I know some may be thinking what if I do all that work and can't sell the site; if I can't worst case scenario I can either rent/lease the site out or capture leads and sell the leads to local businesses.
I think there are quite a few monetization options for ranking a site on the first page of Google for local keywords that get enough targeted traffic so I don't really think I can lose .
After bouncing around from many different methods, mainly online methods, this is a strategy that I really want to pursue to see if it can really work for me.
At first I think I'll be doing everything myself...but I might decide to outsource certain things, haven't quite decided yet.
Tomorrow I'll be buying the domain names and start creating the content for 1 site.
I think I'll be ranking 1 complete site at a time as opposed to trying to create content for multiple sites at the same time and ranking them at the same time.
But I'm sure there will be a few times where I'll be embarrassed to report that all I did was waste time on certain days but I'm really going to try to keep that to a minimum.
My 2 biggest concerns as far as getting the work done will be the backlinking to get the site to the first page of Google (I get discouraged too easily when I don't see fast results), and the contacting local businesses (this part is a bit scary to me ).
And if I'm being completely honest (lol), staying on top of the content creation might be an issue since I am ridiculously lazy .
However, I'm going to for a change be putting in the work no matter what even if I have to assign my boyfriend the job of being taskmaster and making me do my work :p.
But I'm going for this so wish me luck everyone .
Just here to see the shenanigans.
