Email list marketing services for Local Businesses - thoughts?

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I've been researching a little bit on offering "email list services" to local businesses, and definitely think this is something that they can benefit from. It's something I would like to start offering.

That being said, I was wondering if anyone who is currently doing this would be willing to share how they go about doing it....how they set it up, pricing, etc.

I think this would be a valuable services to offer, and could definitely get your foot in the door to offer other services as well....

All comments/thoughts are greatly appreciated!

By the way, I apologize if this type of info has already been posted in another thread; I did search the forum, but didn't really find anything...

    A follow-up question:

    Is anyone experiencing any success offering a service like this, and if so, how are you generating leads?

    Cold Calling? Direct Mail? Email? etc.

    I used to provide email marketing services to my clients but dropped it for text message marketing. More money (bigger profit margin) and they "get" it easier and faster.

    Leads are easy to find. Think of businesses that need to get the same customer into their door more than once a month then go pitch them how they can create a "VIP Club" and do it.

      It's funny that you mentioned this! I was actually trolling the forum last night trying to get some more information about SMS campaigns....I ended up getting frustrated, b/c there are so many services available! lol.

      If you don't mind me asking, how does it work? Is there a specific company that you use to offer the service? And how do you charge?

      I really couldn't find that type of info last night....

        I've been doing this offline thing for about 12 years now on my own and have just started focusing on helping others too. I haven't run a WSO yet and don't know that I will because I really don't want that many people responding. It would dilute what I want to do (offer personal service/support).
