Info about Yourareacode.com with SMS

I just came back from an appointment with a local pizza/restaurant and I got some interesting info about yourareacode.com.

This pizza shop signed up with yourareacode.com to help them promote their bar/restaurant via SMS texting. Here's what I found out about that company.

1. It's a 1 year minimum requirement
2. It's $300 per month (at least for this pizza shop)
3. You're allowed unlimited subscribers and 4 texts/subscriber per week
4. They make wild claims on how they'll help promote the restaurant but never do.
5. The restaurant owner has to do all the texting themselves.
6. They are very difficult to cancel the service. He had to send a cancellation letter to their home office (I think it was Tennessee somewhere) but everytime he did, the letter would come back as undeliverable. The restaurant owner had to call his bank to stop the reoccuring payments.
7. Yourareacode.com screwed up the excitement of SMS marketing and this particular owner wants nothing to do with it now.

I then went back home and looked up other restaurants using yourareacode.com for SMS service and there's quite a few of them that I was going to try to get appointments with.

So I'm wondering how I can use the above information to help sell my services. Should I just call some of the owners and ask them "So how do you like the YAC.com service?" and see what they say?

What do you do when you run into an owner that is now against SMS because of how bad YAC is?
