Local Business Listing Robot!!

Hey guys,

I've been looking into offline marketing a lot and one area that seems pretty doable is helping businesses with their Google local listings.

As most of you know, the ranking of local listings is largely dependent upon citation and reviews. However, often you may need quite a few reviews and considering many sites may track your IP address (I'm not sure on this but I believe Google does?) it can be a lot of work to get all the reviews necessary.

Local Business Listing Robot has been the only type of software I've seen so far that supports this type of offline marketing. Has anybody has any personal experience with LBLR? Also I'm kind of worried of using this as it is probably hardcore blackhat, anybody have any insight on this?

Happy Easter everybody,
Erick

It's a pretty awesome program. Just don't use it on review sites that show the location of the poster until Keith changes the program for local use.

HI junilerick I'm working (for very long time) on the ultimate tool for offline marketing (Think about something like SENuke/BMD/Sick Submitter just for offline marketing), I'm talking about a desktop application (enterprise edition) that support over 100+ citation websites. you can manage campaigns for clients, profile creation, submit business listing, post reviews + content spinner, user manager and account creator, auto email verifier/confirmation, create reports, all are multi threaded with proxy support and proxy tester and filter. and many surprises I can't disclose now still in beta testing, it should be released in the next few weeks.. (two or tree) after the second round of bugfix..

I think it is easier to outsource this process to someone, or better yet, wait and let the real customers post the real reviews???

Also, if you think it is largely dependent upon citations and reviews, you might want to do some more research. Those are two factors. Just two of many.
Either that, or, let me know what clients you work with.. So when they can't get good results with you, I can swoop in and save the day... Kidding.. But seriously..

I have no idea how much you know, I am just saying, don't base a good Google Places listing upon citations and review.

if you only need to make it once it might be easier (cheaper) to outsource the process but it won't be cheaper or easier if you serve clients and you need to make business listings and reviews everyday.. I guess you aren't really serving any clients and giving SEO services so you don't know that did you see the

I'm in the SEO field for the last 6 years and into offline marketing for the last 3 years. did you see the line: "and many surprises I can't disclose now" it mean that it doesn't based only on these two factors.

You can do local listing manually also. First make a list of local sites and post your websites there with unique title and description. You will get listed immidiately.

I am with vndnbrgj on this one. There is a lot more that goes into a first place ranking places ranking. Save yourself some time and pick up one of the wso's on this site about gp ranking and it should help you out pretty well.

I use whitespark to find citations and then outsource the job to get it done manually.
You can find people on fiverr that do reviews and things, some are even drip feeding them to make it more real but you need to make sure they are doing with IP from your clients country.

I have been doing this manually, and I think that manual submission is always is always better. I have used some software for building links but they didn't work out and I had to manually remove those links. That was a big headache.

Warning! Be careful when working with Keith Mallinson of Turn Round Marketing aka Netserver Ltd the publishers of Local Business Listing Robot. I watched a webinar he did and ordered LBL Robot. After logging into the system the next day I realized that it was a RISKY way of posting reviews and would not work for me. I kindly asked for a refund, which I thought was reasonable since I did not use their system and I had requested the refund within 24 hours. He refused referring to their No Refund policy which was in the fine print under their Cancellation & Refund Policy on their website. Okay, so I didn't read the fine print but I find this a terrible way to do business. I might have felt differently had I used their software for a month and then asked for a refund but that wasn’t the case or if it was a downloadable product that couldn’t be return but it wasn’t. Is Keigh so desperate for money that he could not refund my $67? If it was my company I would gladly provide the refund. I want everyone to be happy whether they end up being my customers or not. Most of us these days do offer guarantees but as you will read he doesn’t. Just be forewarned If you try LBL Robot you better like it because you won’t get your money back if you don’t. Oh and by the way as we all know in this day and age bad reviews aren’t good for business.

Other than this most recent response by Roger, which is more about return/cancellation policy, does anybody have recent feedback about LBL Robot?

I've seen a webinar by Costas Peppas, wish I could find it now, where he goes over the review form that he uses to collect actual reviews, and scans the actual hard copy review before posting it uslng LBL Robot.

He does this because it's pretty difficult to get actual people locally to review a business, even using a plugin to make doing the review easier.

It seems to me that this is not exactly black hat, really not white hat, but not really inbetween either. You're collecting actual unsolicited reviews on paper that people actually make, and posting them on their behalf. I think this is actually against the Google+ TOS, but not sure if it against other review sites TOS.

So, the big thing I would like to see is, has anyone used LBL Robot in their own consulting business to post reviews, and what has your experience been? I like the concept, but the thing that concerns me is that the local business would be the one to actually suffer if anything negative happened from posting reviews like this.

Also, if anyone has a replay of the webinar by Costas Peppas where he goes over his method and his form, please PM me.

    Thanks!

I would avoid it. Google says "no," and it culd land a client in hot water. It isn't necessary, so why risk it? Funny enough, posting reviews on the website itself will probably help just as much.

Just review David Mihm's ranking factors to see for yourself.

Get the hell out of here with yourself. It's ILLEGAL to post reviews on behalf of any one on sites like Yelp etc. in the North America and the EU.

Warning to every one, the FTC and even local legal entities are not messing around with online reviews.

If you get caught posting reviews that aren't yours you will eventually get caught and be exposed legally.

    I have feedback
I signed up for the service around the start of 8/13. I'm working with a company that collects comment cards at the register.

I thought this platform would work well from what I had read.

The first let down was it seemed to take over a week for a review to go live after being submitted. Everything was in queue.

After the status listed posted I was pretty happy until today. I have never taken the time to check to see if the review were live. I TRUSTED the company.

If you bother to click a link you get 1 or 2 results

    message 1
"Your review has been successfully posted to the review site.

NOTE: Although the review has been posted, it may not dsiplay on the review site for various reasons including review site moderator rejection, or automated filtering."

    message 2
"your review as a pop up" the one you originally entered

I took my review in quotes "review" and did a search on each of the top three search engines. and NO RESULTS

WOW a review live (stated by lbl) for at least 3 weeks and it is not indexed.

I sent in a support ticket today, asking why there is NO WAY to see the actual live review from the dashboard?

Until I can confirm I got 2 live reviews per week per business as promised I would not sign up. I'm 2 billing cycles in and I can't prove anything works.

    I'll keep you posted
