Google Places software question

Hi folks

Just had a question - I recall a while back some software that was released (here on the WF) that was absolutely awesome for Google Places - it would help find leads (by finding all the Places Pages that hadn't been claimed by the business owner) and whole raft of other things as well, to help the Page rank (citations, backlinks as well I think).

Unfortunately at the time I recall it wasn't very cheap - somewhere in the $300-$500 price range? So I passed on it. Now I want to take a second look at it, but can't remember the name.....anyone know what software I'm talking about?

Any help would be appreciated!

I recommend holding off on any software right now. There is some new software coming out that will blow all the others out of the water.
I think it will be debuted within the next week, for less than the price you mentioned.

I'm working over the last 7 months on the ultimate tool for offline marketing, I'm talking about a desktop application (enterprise edition) that support over 100+ citation websites. you can manage campaigns for clients, profile creation, submit business listing, post reviews + content spinner, user manager and account creator, auto email verifier/confirmation, create reports, all are multi threaded with proxy support and proxy tester and filter. and many surprises I can't disclose now still in beta testing, it should be released in the next few weeks.. (two or tree) after the second round of bugfix..

I have a tool called the "Local Lead Maximizer" that isn't as robust as some of the software tools out there but it does basically everything you asked for.

And right now I'm selling it for only $17!

      Local Lead Maximizer

It finds every unverified places listing for any category you chose in your city and then it also looks for the "Google Pack" and then finds unverified places in the Google Pack.

The Pro version we're building will find the categories of all the listings in the Google Pack, Find all the Citation Sites in the Google Pack reviews and will find the contact page & possibly emails of websites in the unverified places.

      So....$17

Please keep this thread up to date with any new product launches you all mentioned. I would be curious to see them. I have one coming out shortly that will combine keywords, cities and states and plug them into the GKWT to report numbers of searches. It will also tell you if the EMD is available.

I have heard that at this point, Power Leads Pro and GPScraper are the front-runners as far as actual software goes.

Also, Lisa (catalyst emarketing on here I think?) mentioned another software that is currently in beta recently.

    edit here it is: http://www.brightlocal.com/seo-tools...-rank-checker/

It is primarily a rank tracker, but apparently scrapes a lot of useful Google Places information for you.

I've seen Google Places software out there as having two approaches. The first approach it works like a scraper...so it just scrapes data and feeds it back to you in an organized manner. I think all of these types of tools are amazing, but will require CONSTANT updates. Google Places has to be the most volatile area of offline marketing currently, in terms of the amount of changes taking place. I plan on using this type of software in the near future.

What I am not sure on, is the software that uses(also uses) the second approach: ACTUALLY POSTING YOUR BUSINESS REVIEWS/DATA/etc...I'm not sure if I entrust an automated software to do this correctly and without triggering spammy alerts on some of these sites. I have no problem using automation to assist in normal backlinking efforts (you need to embrace it in competitive niches), but as far as trusting software to post info about my client's businesses and reviews correctly without making ANY mistakes in the form fields, getting banned from a certain site, blacklisted, getting the business removed for poorly posted reviews etc.

Take citations for instance, I have been filling these things out manually for months for my clients, and these types of websites (mojopages, citysearch, etc) constantly change as well. Many require multiple verifications, change their submission guidelines, take 3-5 days to approve. The fields they give you to fill out seem to change a lot too. I don't even use roboform to assist with these types of sites, as they just seem so "fickle" and one mistake in posting might not be undone for weeks/months. And this is just the nature of these websites themselves, without even getting into how they handle/filter posted reviews. And without even getting into using different IP addresses, proxy requirements when mass submitting, etc. It is easy to make little mistakes manually, I would imagine it would be pretty easy to accidentally post reviews/content to the same sites twice, accidentally fill in wrongly-formatted business information, etc.

But if there is an all in one tool that comes out and it can effectively handle approaches 1 AND 2, it would be an absolute lifesaver. This type of stuff is TEDIOUS. IMO I see a good future for the software that uses approach number 1, as with continued updates it it can still be reliable. Crap, you can use Scrapebox to actually do alot of the "approach number 1" stuff locally if need be.

I think "approach number two" might become too difficult to support from the developer-end, I hope I'm wrong though. That, or the software would require a very HEFTY monthly fee. I guess I'd be down with that if it was able to maintain a high success/accuracy rate though.

The Lead Generation Video in my Signature (Targeted Keywords) shows you how the latest Software works for getting leads from BackPage, Craigs List, ebay, classifieds, etc..

BRAND NEW kEYWORD TAG ADVERTISING I joined FREE but I didn't reserve any keywords yet. It looks like it could be pretty lucrative once the site is full but by then most of the keywords you want will be gone. Every keyword is the same price, even the major top 10 keywords that get a ton of traffic. SO, what do you guy s think? How long before the words start paying off is anyone's guess.

I retired in 2005 at 43 and now I give away websites like these for FREE [hosting excluded]

When you make at least $100+ per month, we split the profit 80/20 and YOU get the 80% Until then, you keep 100% and I'll help you drive traffic, get backlinks and put the domain in your name too!

Newbie alert: I'm totally out of the loop in GP. Can someone tell me:

Why are the scraped leads important?
If they are already in Google Places why would you use these leads?
To sell them other services? To help them improve the current listing? Maybe they don't have a web site and you can help them with that?

I don't get why you are looking for people that are already there?

Forgive me: I just read the GPscraper site and I see some of the uses.

But I would be interested in how YOU use it if you can share that.

    Thanks

Google seems to be kicking thier sales of the Boost ad words marketing to Google Place businesses.

I was talking to a local client about Goolge Places optimization and PPC campaign and they will not do anything untilo they check out the Boost offering from Google.

Obviously Google would love to get rid of the resellers and bury the citations as well.

Is the party over for getting on the first paqe of Google Places organicly and is the whole local market going to be sold to by Google?

      Any thoughts on rebuttals?

I do not think that Google can go too far with turning everything into an ad or they will just end up with a page full of ads.

In order to keep visitors coming back Google will be forced to serve up some level of organic results. If they forget what got them to where they are today they run the risk of losing their mojo...

I agree...they can't turn everything into ads...but still...even with ads...I think person who will win is the one with most optimized listing

As already said, Google is not going to turn everything into ads.

People want to go to a search engine and see the most relevant results... Not the ones that people paid the most for.

And as far as software goes, the best I have seen is now available here:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...pots-left.html

I have tried the other softwares, and none compare with what this one can do. Plus, it is cheaper than some of the "competiting" inferior software in my opinion.
