    If Google is scraping Yahoo reviews, then I'd suggest the focus be on soliciting Yahoo reviews to gain the 'two-fer'.

    EDIT: I just logged into Yahoo Local reviews and noted they are powered by City Search. I wonder if this means we should solicit City Search for a 'three-fer'(!!)

    It's been like that for a while. Like Sondor mentions, I've seen Citysearch reviews show up as well.

    What we are doing is asking client's customers to post reviews across multiple sites, rather than just Google. Looks much more natural.

      Google has been doing this for a while. They don't publish Yelp reviews, but I have found they cross index to yahoo, citysearch, and insiderpages. Plus some of the travel and restaurant guides. One point. Google and Yelp are much more likely to "filter" a review than the others I mentioned.

          Yelp used to be on Google. And they might have come back. But last year Google and Yelp got in a tiff and Yelp pulled their reviews from Googles index. Here's a link to a story about it; Yelp Unlikely To Come Back To Google Places. Apparently Google and Yelp consider themselves to be direct competitors. In fact Google tried to buy Yelp once. I don't think Yelp has come back to Places, at least formally, but who knows. Also, older reviews might still be indexed.

    One thing I've been telling everybody I know is that Facebook comments are starting to be indexed as part of Google Places.

    This is awesome news because EVERYONE has facebook and this is often the easiest vector for a customer review since they can just open up the app on their mobile and type up a quick comment.
