Offline promotion works really well and that is due to the Zero competition!
Currently I use well written/attractive flyers to promote my sites..I post them at colleges, malls, churches and onto cars in the parking lots as well...I also hire people to do it in other areas!

Results:
___________

It certainly does work very well and varies depending on the amount of distribution.

Do you know of any other methods ? Somthing similar maybe you have used
or heard of ? Would really appreciate your time and advice!

One of the Important way is to Paste your Flayers to Bus Stops, Trains' stops and in Shopping Malls. These also works fine.

Write articles and place ads in niche magazines, trade journals, specialty newsletters, regional newspapers, etc. This is powerful for penetrating highly competitive markets.

The reason there is "zero competition" is because in most areas of LA this is illegal, particularly in parking lots and malls. You can be fined with stiff penalties for littering. Check local ordinances and get permission from property owners.

You could use low-cost postcards. Classified advertising and advertorials work well. Make sure you take advantage of yellow page advertising also. See if there are any similar (but non-competitive) business owners in your area who would be able to do a joint venture with you. Also, consider sign on car advertising - where your business information is printed on your car. Make sure it's a direct response car on ad though. Give a one liner pitch as to why someone should do business with you, and include your contact information on all sides of the car.

Laundromats are a good place to put up flyers, people are usually there for awhile waiting for their washing to be done.
