Offline Newbie - Looking for Starting Advice

Whats up Offliners?

I've always been online, but im seriously interested in how lucrative offline marketing can be.

I'm after a great WSO with reference to Offline Marketing - ideally i need to know how to brand myself, for people to take me seriously (19 years old) and overall understand the fundamentals and skills required to become a success with Offline Marketing.

I'm sorry if this is the wrong section, but i thought i would put it here as you guys know best!

I also appreciate my question is very broad, but if you guys could chime in and give me some advice that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Josh

Check through the threads here and maybe do some Google searches, you'll find plenty of free resources without having to buy a WSO...which is probably made up of the same free information, lol

Are you looking to be a marketing consultant to businesses, or are you just looking to strictly sell information products offline?

    Hi Josh,

I would recommend that you look at threads and posts by these two gentlemen as they know their stuff: John Durham and Amir Luis. Here are a few threads that I found invaluable advice and information on offline marketing:

    John Durham's 1st thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/offline-...knowledge.html

    John Durham's 2nd thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/offline-...hen-table.html

    Amir Luis' thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/offline-...marketing.html

Seriously though, their stuff is gold.

As far as WSO's, here are some guys that run offline WSO's that have gotten good feedback:

    John Durham
    Ryan Shaw
    Tim Castleman
    Chris Ramsey
    Michael Atma
    Maria Gudelis

Got to WarriorPlus, then to WSO Tracker, and search for their WSOs.

John and Luis are also great about helping newbies and answering questions, which is great.

Other than that, I'd say what these guys here on the thread have said- Just keep reading in the forum. I would also add that you should be unafraid to ask questions if you need clarification or more information on something being discussed. Asking and listening are great ways to learn. I'd suggest maybe that you open up a Word or Notepad document as you are reading on the forum and take notes that you can refer back to, possibly with different sub headings such as offline resources, good people to follow/talk to, call scripts, etc. Or just note methods or facts you like/find interesting that may help you set yourself up.

Best of luck with your business. I hope to run around WF.

      Josh,

If you are into the possibility of designing mobile websites and mobile marketing, Quentin and Scotth on the WF seem to know their stuff. Those are their usernames here on WF.

Dr. Dan is another pretty big hitter in offline. I know he does website leasing to local businesses among other things.

Since you will be marketing services, you have to change your marketing approach slightly. I would definitely consider getting a website and marketing your services online - but i think you already got that covered.

I know a guy who wanted to start his own consulting biz offline and had no testimonials, endorsements or anything. He tried 2 things.

The 1st thing that he tried was offering his services for free for the first 60 days. This didn't work out too well - all he got was a few responses, and almost all of them sounded demanding. So he scrapped that attempt.

The 2nd thing he tried was offering a $200 marketing product, and then tried to upsell these customers to his consulting offer. He found that these customers were easier to work with, and were open to the idea of letting somewhere market their business for them. He had success with this 2nd plan, and in a short period of time, built his consulting biz up rather quickly.

I'm personally too lazy to offer consulting services, which is why i stick to information products. But i used to do a bit of offline work in my earlier days. But i got bored and found that there wasn't enough time in the day for me to have fun. So i had to let it go, and migrate straight to doing something else.

Sounds funny huh? Yeah i know, but that's what it is. Hope you find this post useful bro.
