Is this the right way to get an SMS appointment?

I have started selling SMS services and have 3 clients already, however they were good friends and quickly jumped at the service. I,m a difficult time setting appointments over the phone so I wrote an ice breaking script this morning and would like for your input from those who are successful at this.

Do you have more than one stylist working in your shop?

What I do is show business owners how to get more new customers and more money. Is that something that interests you?

If you would give me 10 minutes to show you how to do this, I'll show you why you need this in your business.

    The only problem i see is when you say "______________ I am not tyring to sell you anything, I would just like to show you how to get more customers" When in fact you are trying to sell a service are you not? just some simple rewording can do the trick. leave out the "not selling" part and just go with the "get more customers". Some business owners may see it as a trick if you tell them you are not selling them something, and then show up at the meeting and sell them. 2cents.

      My company. I developed my own application and run it thru twilio. I built it I own it and I don't pay anyone a monthly fee.

    Twilio is a long code provider, and I think they are coming out with short code.

    Twilio is bringing short codes out and they may already be out. I contacted them a couple months ago and at the end of May they contacted me back wanting to know if I wanted a short code. It's still expensive and by the month, I said no. My people are not that well-heeled to warrant it.

    Scarab here's a very quick modification of your script: I'm not saying this is the best for what you're doing, but just showing a different approach. Scripts need tweaking as you try them, to arrive at something that works....as you probably know.

    "Hi, can you help me for a sec?".... (yes, or ok)

    "I'm trying to find out if a business like yours, a ______, is open to any other ways to
    get new clients...for cuts, color, whatever?" (yes, maybe, it depends, like what?)

    (continues or hangs up)


    "(This is, It's) a non-traditional way of using the internet. ...not just a website or email....

    you probably have those already, I assume?" (yes or no)

    (wait)

    "You can set this up yourself, or if its too much hassle, i'm available to do it for you."

    "If you meet with me, it takes 10 minutes, I'll explain and give you a way to test this

    .....without spending a dime

    ....until you're satisfied its worth it.

    ...and if you don't like it, I'm out of there."


    "Do want to meet with me, to see if you could use this?"

    (wait for reply.) Yes, proceed ....No, "ok, thanks."

    If 'yes', "By the way, my name is ______________ and I'm a located right in town here."

    "I'll stop by tomorrow at ___________________"...etc

    There is no reason to give name and other details at open of script. They don;t care who you are etc. Its the 'hook' or idea that you present that either piques their curiosity or it doesn't.

    The best script on the planet will still get tons of 'no's'....just more yes's than other scripts.
