If you offer mobile websites to offline clients you might want to have something like this

Hello,

If you are offering mobile website design to offline clients you might want to make a website like this for yourself:

Disclaimer: This one is not done because it's just an example.

Iphone mobile Free Mobile Template

That way potential offline clients that you send to the website can see your past mobile websites and how they look on the mobile devices and be convinced.

You can also put prices there. And a payment button.

And make it nicer. Use text-decoration=none for the links to not be underlined. Give them a nicer color, and you will have for yourself a website for people can go and see your past designs.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the post. Looks like a good idea. Did you use a template to set this up?

This example is really cool! But what exactly are you offering? Would it be a template to put on our own websites so customers don’t have to go elsewhere? How can I get that? It would be terrific to upload it to a Wordpress site if possible.

Also noticed you offer building awesome mobile sites, perfect!

The website emulator looks good! l think that you can actually download some free, similar emulators online though. If I am not mistaken then I would say Quentin's mobile WSO has one.

I'm curious. Why do you say a Youtube video is a "no-no" for a mobile website?

They are not supported by all devices so shouldn't be used. There isn't really one solution for mobile video that will work across all devices as yet. Once HTML5 is adopted by all devices then it will become more common but not until then.

You also need to keep in mind the whole purpose of a mobile site is to have a fast loading page that presents all the information in the quickest and easiest way possible. With the current cost and speed of mobile internet connections these days, video is not the best option. If you can present the same information using just images and text then you are much better off doing that.

All a mobile user cares about at the end of the day is getting the information they need quickly and easily. Remember this when designing your mobile sites.

I recommend using an image from the video with a link to Youtube video.
It works best and all it takes to load it's the image which you can optimize in terms of good quality and size.

A great advice MagicAce.if you got a business and you're trying to sell mobile websites you should get one too cause why should business owners trust you if you don't use the product(mobile website) you are recommending/selling?

        Common sense.

I tried two diiferent websites on your emulator and both displayed the PC version, not their fully working mobile versions. Any idea if that is just a glitch ? When I look at them on my mobile they display correctly.

I don't think The redirection script works on simulators. On simulators you only try to see how sites look on phone devices.

Also only try mobile optimized websites cause full site websites won't look on the simumator like they look on mobile.

The emulator is setup to use whatever url you enter not convert to the mobile version of the website as your mobile device does.

Example: GoDaddy's mobile site is m.godaddy instead of www dot godaddy

if you type the www its going to display the regular web version if you type m. it is going to display the mobile version

im still a bit confused about what this post is for. are we being offered a service or is it being suggested that we should create a webpage on our own sites that offline clinets can go to which will show them what their on site looks like in a mobile phone, or have i completely missed the point?

Yeah ... I picked up the script a couple of days ago. The Op is just suggesting that if you do mobile web design, this is a good script to have to show off the mobile designs to customers or prospective customers and the page can be customized to add payment buttons for clients to pay for their design and anything else you want to add.
