Urgent: Social Media Marketing Help

Hey guys,
I don't know too much about how to start social media campaigns, but I got a big customer asking if I can do it. I told him I'd get back to him after some research. Is there any good research where I can start really learning about it? Setting up Twitter and Facebook is easy, but what's the rest?

    Try typing in google social media campaigns and see what everyone else is doing and just take what they are doing and add what you would do

    Tell them yes and do your research to get it outsourced and lock down your pricing. One of the best ways to learn more about hiring is to read other job posts, their applicants and who they hire (plus feedback). Not knowing it yourself you'll want someone who can hit the ground running and not need to be told every detail to produce results. So many people can do this for you today that you really don't need to start from ground zero yourself unless you absolutely have to or really want to.

    Depending on the business/industry you may need to adjust their approach. Not all pull the results you hear about.

    Social Media for retail business is a big deal right now. It's more that just posting a status update or a tweet. You need to build their following, understand your clients brand and send that message out, graphic design/creative to make sure it matches the clients website and brand. There is also reputation management and setting up over 70 Social Media assets.     You might check out Ed Dale´s The Challenge (its free!)

    It takes you throught the different aspects of the internet business, including the social medias, and even though I highly recommend you go through it all, you will be able to pick the modules that you need right now.
