[FREE SAMPLE]: Look at How This Pizza Place Is Killing It...

I get this postcard in the mail. I know it is WORKING, because the place is jam-packed every time I drive by it.

Postcard with coupons containing QR Codes, and a headline says...

Keep Up With the Jones'. Your neighbor just enjoyed a Marco's Pizza. So should you.

Now I'm not sure how TRUE that is -- that my neighbor ordered -- but it got me thinking:

  • Why not do the same thing, but with Online services you could offer, simply by segmenting your list rental pull.

ex: Pull every business with X, within X meter/mile radius of current customer(s) you are working with. Cloak it slightly to maintain confidentiality:

"Your business colleague in Anytown just improved their Google Places..."
"The business around the corner just moved up their Google Ranking..."
"The business owner down the street is using QR Codes..."
"A business in your area is about to unleash a ton of clients. They are now using SMS/Text Messaging. So should you."

etc.

Thoughts?

PS - The USPS announced a 3% postage discount IF you put a QR code anywhere on your mailer. Might be a good time to start testing some postcards.

Don't assume they're busy because of this postcard.

Chances are they're busy because of the place being new and people wanting to check it out.

Plus that postcard copy is terrible.

There is only one thing I care about now and only one thing I will ever care about - myself.

I don't care what you're name is or that you're the manager.

What I do care about is how I can get something for free or reduced price, etc.

The QR code is a great example though and thanks for sharing it with us.

FYI, I didn't get the left side of the postcard in the shot, which shows the stuff for free, has your name all over it, the QR codes, and the offer.

When I had my business and had many employees, I did similar. I would send out letters to prospects as to is using and who have used my services. Worked very well. Good luck to all.

Love the way they incorporate bandwagon techniques into a pitch for a pizza place, unique indeed, but clearly working out well!

I don't think the look of the postcard matters. I love the message! And, it has a call to action. Unfortunately, Marco's isn't down the street from me
