Robot.txt files and a competitor?

Hi fellow offliners...

Hoping to get some input...I am analyzing 2 websites; one is my client (who is getting beat) and the other is their main competition. My clients site has like 20 disallow's in the robot file...while their competitor has zero. My question is, are these affecting the PR in anyway? (I know it could be a million other things, but this is a big thing we noticed)

    I don't see how those disallows could cause any trouble.

    I have like 200 entries in some of my robots.txt files and rank #1 for various keywords. I did not experience any drawbacks so far. And like i said i could not see how THIS robots.txt file could cause your client any trouble whatsoever.

    So, keep looking for the real source of the problem.
