Offline brochure - sales letter?

I'm creating brochures for my new offline fan page business.

I'm making my brochure sort of like a long sales letter. Has anyone had success like this?

It's not over hypey like IM sales letters or anything, but definitely more sales-y than your typical informational brochure.

I think it is an excellent idea.
Make sure you include all the various social media options you are engaged in personally and for business.

Why not make it a video brochure?

i had an offline brochure when i started out. i was offering seo, social media (twitter & fb) marketing, and webdesigns on the brochure and was giving away 50% off to the first 5 people to call me since i was trying to get my name out.

I actually had my designer created a PSD file of the brochure after a thread i started because it seemed like people were really interested in it. I was thinking about doing a quick wso but honestly i've been too busy to even think about creating a sales page.

Shoot me a pm and I'll send you the brochure I've used.

Hey Chris Cho, I would love to be able to use your brochure as a template and guide for mine. I cannot PM however, so if you can either PM me with an email or add me on Skype (Manny740) I would greatly appreciated. I already saw your video where you explain going to the businesses with your brochures, and am planning on doing so right after I get done making them.

Hey Chris, I would also like to see your brochure if possible to use as a template if you wouldn't mind. I am also not able to PM yet so if you could PM me that would be great.
        Thanks!

I've never been a huge fan of long brochures, but have had good luck with small postcards, flyers or business cards offering a free report of some sort. If you can get them on an email list by offering a free guide, then send them good info on a regular basis, you've got a better chance of getting business from the guys who aren't interested right now but may be sometime down the road.

I didn't grab this because I use some of my own documents I've collected over the years, but this looks like a great set of promo materials for ten bucks.

    Go get 'em!

    Tony,

My experience has been that long form brochures rarely get read. People want to look over something quickly to understand what you offer, but they don't want to spend 20 minutes reading a sales letter.

One thing that you might want to consider is having a visually stunning brochure with basic information about who you are, what you offer, why they should use you, etc... Then at the bottom of the brochure include a QR Code and say something along the lines of "Scan this code with your smartphone to learn more". Link this QR Code to a mobile website that THEN goes into a longer sales letter. That way you know that if they took the time to scan the code they are definitely interested and are more likely to be receptive to reading a longer sales letter.

You can also offer a QR Code/mobile website solution to your clients and they will have an actual example of what it is from your brochure.

I hope this helps in some way, shape, or form!

I think that, that is a great idea, I am actually, creating a brochure to target local businesses. Also, with a brochure/sales letter, what I am doing is placing what I have to offer and compare them side by side with 3 other local businesses to show them that we are more affordable and you get more for less.

Also, since we are a web hosting business and design firm; I am showing them industry facts and that there business will benefit by going online. It really depends on who you target, but, a brochure/sales letter works for almost any industry, it is a great idea to get your point across and really sell what you have to offer.
