I may have a lead! Now what?

So last week I received a magazine in the post that's about our local area. It had advertisements from various estate agents and I noticed on of them had QR codes on their ads.

So I immediately e-mailed all the other e-agents saying that their competitor was using QR codes and telling them how they can use them in their marketing.

I got an e-mail back from one of the agents simply saying "tell me more".

I've had a look at their website and they deal with houses that are worth millions in some of the most expensive parts of London.

...so what do I do now? Do I call them first thing in the morning, explain over the phone how QR codes are useful.

Do I ask to set up a meeting? Do I need to come up with a proposal already?

As you can tell I may be a little out of depth with this lead... I can set up a simple mobile site, I know how QR codes can be used... but an estate agent, especially an upmarket one like this will need something a bit more?

Any ideas on how to tackle this?

    Lead them!! lol

Sorry about the joke Firstly congrats on the smart move: offline you need to be agile, smart and fast, so I see you're up for a good move.

As I said above you need to lead them to your sales funnel, don't show them the game, just BENEFITS of using the game.

And be sure to tell them at the end of the meeting you'll have another meetings later in the day with their competitors, so if they want exclusivity, they need to act FAST.

But now you need to get that meeting and show them the benefits of using YOUR system (call it something different, not just QR codes... say, QR Code FLEX, or whatever). From there you'll need to make them want it TODAY, otherwise you'll share the benefits with their competition.

I bet more warriors will share some good ideas. All the best and wish you close that deal.

P.S. Don't forget at least 3 different upsells.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

Show up with a sample QR code for one of their listings in hand. Then show them whatever it was you read that shows how their competitor is using them.

    It'll sell itself.

First off, great idea for contacting them and showing the comparisons between competition.

You have something they want and that`s all the matters. You can put together power point for an offline meeting showing them the benefits of using the code. Face to face is always best in any situation.

Great thing about this you can show them other offline services you offer that can go right along with the QR code site. Just a little extra something like a fanpage to go along with it to beef up the deal. In conclusion, you really are just trying to get your foot in the door with them or any future potential client for that matter.

I would say call them as see what they have in mind before wasting gas and time. If they are really interested then I would just do a sample QR for them. Get them hooked on that service then sell tons more.

I have no agenda but to help those in the same situation. This I feel will pay the bills.
